You are aware that Barone programmed Stardew Valley completely alone? He didn`t even hire an artist or anything, he made the music, the art, the story, the pogramming everything alone. A one person project without any funding and it was his first game ever made. He started Stardew Valley after he got his university degree because he couldn`t find another job and that was his way to hone his programming skills. Barone just planted his ass on his chair and programmed from his own home the whole game. That is why I used this game specifically as an example.

So much to "bigwigs of the industry" and "small teams".
Wow. So that makes my whole argument totally false and impossible because I happened to chose the one wrong example ? Learn to read between the lines.

That is why I suspect when looking at Bones Tales in comparison to other one man indie developers, that the dev stretches the game progress on purpose to keep cashing in that sweet monthly subscriber money while doing very little work for it. Because when the game is done, people will stop subscribing. I could be wrong and I don`t want to badmouth any people without being 100% sure and that is why I only say "suspect" with reservation, but that slow of a progress needs a reason beside "Game making is such a long and hard progress". Yeah it is a long and hard progress, but not so long to not finish an rpg maker game the like of Bones Tales in over 3 years.

And all that above is just "my" opinion.
See, that's stating an opinion. "I suspect", "I think", "I wonder if". Not "dev bad dev scam all bash dev and piss on game because me mad". You don't put your opinion as an universal fact. You state it as what you alone think without putting it out as something that is "obviously true" just because you post about it.
That's an opinion that can be respected.
I disagree, as I think not all dev for those types of games have an equal base of skill/time/motivation and such (espcially during a two years pandemic which doesn't seem like it's gonna end anytime soon), and I also enjoy the game enough that I hope it's just a matter of those factors. I might be wrong, you might be right. But you stating your opinion this way makes me want to respect that easier than those who come screaming like fucking doomsday prophets.

All your female belong to horse :^v
don't NTR the dog! ... hahahaha ^^ But i like the way you think :D

Now to topic. There is an easy transfer method from RPGM ACE to RPGM MV ... only problems would be the resizing of the Pics and Tilesets. I think Dr. Bones has his images in higher resolution so that wont be a problem. I really dont get it because his new "Patreon-friendly" Game is on MV
Here is a Tutorial i found on youtube

I do really hope Bones is doing good during pandemic, and hes fine and not having any personal issue that makes him delay the game, but he used to update frequently before patreon incest thing... after that was finished he made even more money per month.... and when all that begun he even said that "becuase of patreon thing im not getting enough money to continue"

Now he has it, he has even more than before, even if he is having a personal issues.... what personal issue is taking him 2 years to fix and not even say a word? and about the pandemic, ive been working from home this whole pandemic, earning 500$ a month in south america... Thats a lot of money and really has been a bleesing for me this whole pandemic thing.

They guy is earning around 3k dollars a month IN CHILE, he is working from home, does he have any money need that cant be solved from home or that could make him slow down his FULL TIME JOB (as he said in patreon/subscriberstar) that The manor become to him?

If you think in one reason that is slowing him down besides of course, streching updates time just to earn more money i would like to hear it.

I know hes not even giving us his 25% on this for what he is earning out of this, and he used to give us his 100% when he was not earning that much.... I would like to see him comeback to that, might that be that difficult with 3k per month support?

Still ill come around every now and then just to see is this becomes another yanderedev 10 years of developing a 20% of a game

Loss of motivation, maybe ? A two year pandemic is a rough thing to do, and if the guy lives in Chile, the pandemic might not have been handled there as well as other countries (I have no clue what they did there). I'm in one of the luckier countries and still we've seen the amount of people falling into depression skyrocket since last year. So when you're already affected by that, getting smashed by Patreon with the incest thing is bound to worsen the blow.
By then, workflow slows to a crawl and you can easily start to blame yourself for not being able to work as well as before and not deliver as much content. But outright admitting it is pretty hard as well when you're that deep in the hole. It's human nature to find it easier to just think you'll get better soon and procrastinate on that. Sure it's not great for people backing but depression tends to make you subconsciously avoid thinking about consequences.

Of course, this is all just a theory, it's not like I know the guy. He could just as well have lost someone and not been able to deal well with the aftermath (though I sincerely hope that's not the case).
But you asked if I could figure out any reason, and that's one that came to mind.
I could also be totally wrong and the guy could be an asshole leeching money from people's wishfull support, but those types of devs tend to not be subtle about it for long and start flooding with false promises, WIP scene artworks that never amount to anything, etc... Radio silence is most often a sign that something else is going on, but we can't really know why since that's the dev's personnal life. And as I stated on another thread, nobody, not even backers, no matter the amount of money they throw at a dev, is entitled to get details about a dev's personal life. It's called personal for a reason, so it's always up to the dev if they want to share that or not.

All we really can do is hope we'll get some reaction at some point and avoid thrashing his reputation.
Because people are quick to judge and latch onto misinformation, but really don't like admitting they were wrong. Happened multiple times over the years. So if it ends up that the Doc had big issues and he finally comes out of his silence, but a few morons destroyed his reputation so that nobody supports him anymore, he'd just probably stop everything. Because at that point, no matter the amount of explaination, damage would already be done.
If you want a good example of that type of damage, I can give you one in private message (I'm not about to open that can of worms in public, not with the mentality I've seen around those forums). But yeah, better be the mature and sensible one that wreck someone else's shit an pretend it's deserved while you know nothing. If people backing him get tired of waiting, they'll stop on their own. It's not like they're held at gunpoint to keep paying. If they chose to keep paying and it ends up that he actually was taking advantage of it, that's on them for chosing to keep paying.

"Im sure the developer is just tired or something tragic happened, its not his fault people are still supporting. If he is just milking then too bad for the supporters."
All your doing is trying to cover ALL bases on why the game progress is so slow. Its funny because you write these long ass essays and you pretty much say absolutely nothing.

What is apparent is how cringe and annoying porn game fanboys are, I swear they are worse than weebs. Developers can do no evil huh? lmfao

I think Bones wants to quit the game and focus on other things or he just runs out of ideas to add to the game.

Well on the discord server, it is written that game is going to be updated in December. So let's wait and see if we get enough content for this time.
Had to take the news with a grain of salt just in case, at this point no one can predict if Doc will release the new update right on time anymore. Still have hope for Survivor Guilt came out this year but finger crossed

Ok, so I got fucking bored of the shitshow (mainly cause it pretty much burned down in a lame way and I can't meme lame things with the same joy as I can with a good shitshow) so I just went and followed the "Mouse Support" tutorial (super easy, btw).

Let's just say it's a biiiiit iffy, maybe I'm just that stupid with mouse controls for RPGM as I haven't gotten accustomed to the feeling of them but eh, for the *unspecified amount* of you that want to play this with mouse support, here ya go, ya lazy bastards.

Just fyi, I haven't play tested it that much, I just loaded one of my saves and checked movement and a couple of scenes and one thing I can point out is that there's a bit of delay sometimes, mainly when clicking a door. That being said, it's bound to break or be missing something (maybe? I didn't make the script), but either way let me know if that's the case so I can try and check if something can be done with my obscenely M A S S I V E ignorance of the RPGM engine :KEK:

I present unto thee... (click the image for the download link)

Nah man, I'm an dummy THICC idiot so there's no chance I'm gonna put stuff into the game's content (as in new scenes) haha I'd need a few weeks at least to try to learn the engine and understand the coding, which I'm pretty shit at it regardless of the language xD

And what is apparent with you is that not only you have so little personality that you hide behind the identity of a fictional sarcastic character, but all you can do is bully people that don't agree with you by spamming their posts with Facepalm reactions.
Plot twist : it doesn't work. I don't care.

Also, since you seem so incapable of understanding anything that isn't agreeing with you, I'll spell it in plain english for baby you : I didn't say devs are all perfect, nice and honest. I said there is no way to know for sure their circonstances and what is impacting their work.
But since you are so entitled you can't accept acting with anything other than cynicism and can't do anything other than antagonise anyone that doesn't become part of your following, I doubt you'll even accept that I might have said anything else than what you want me to have said.

Have fun being the embodiement of "party pooper".
