Yes it is. It is very much dead. Bones himself posted a very telling update comment on Discord where he said that he cannot bring himself to continue working on the Manor.
Sure, it was non-committal either way, but if any supporter of his whines about there being no update, he can point to that comment to say he never intended to finish.

Alright I uploaded the two working MZ builds if anyone's interested. Aside from the images being upscaled, the game now has native mouse support. I really just made this for myself, so this probably won't get updated unless I come across a game breaking bug, or if the dev miraculously returns to this game.

Known bugs:
- Diary can only be opened from your inventory
- Some doors only open if you click the tile in front of them
- Diary text is off centered in 2x version
- Some character bubbles are scuffed (Luciles morning and shower icons)
- Save is randomly locked at times (this always fixes itself before it becomes a problem for me)

Just unpack and run the .exe. It's a version build in another engine. Imagine it as a Remaster. You launch it by itself, not replace the files from the original.

Yes, I got a lot of creativity fulfillment, I got to stop working my day job to just write, code, draw, and animate sexy stuff... but as time passed and the fan-base grew larger, it started , slower but steady, to ruin my mental health. This past few years have been a roller-coaster of happy times and very stressful moments. I've met a lot of wonderful pervs, wholesome weirdos, and funny skumbags. But also (sadly) a lot of assholes. I always knew that I couldn't please everyone thus I never tried, I just tried to make something I would personally like and hope other liked it too. I knew that I had to deal with some unwanted attention and disproportionate hate from a few... That's how the internet works after all. But I'm ultimately human and there's a limit of hate and death threats a guy can take before starting to feel his choices weren't the best ones. I'm not perfect, I have issues, most of which I had previous to doing this gig...

But now I got a few new ones and the old ones have exacerbated. I'm not a young guy... My body is not what it used to be, I get "old people's body issues" and I had my fair share of personal loses... It feels like I'm rambling right now. But what I'm trying to say is this: I'm flawed, and I've been getting worse.

Bones knows what the concerns are about his game: He isn't working on it, and he lies about the work he isn't doing on it. Rumor also has it that he bans people from his discord who present those concerns with any degree of pushback.
There is nothing to be gained from engaging with him as if he were a good-faith actor, and at this point, I suspect few people here want to.

ETA: Bones has an active account here at f95Zone. He isn't banned, and I suspect he even reads this thread from time to time.
