Most of the time I could care less about what's said here. However, the one thing that always happens is people complaining about Doc delaying the updates. He's a one-man team doing coding, artwork, story direction, and dialogue "most likely even more than that". I'd bet a large portion of you have no idea how hard coding is. Or the fact that he says sorry every time he delays it. Note if you're complaining about delays, he's trying that's all I can say about the matter.

P.S If any of you know how to code ask him if he wants any help, I’m positive there is something he needs help with.
we can add to that, that Doc makes his games on his spare time, BT: TM not bringing him money, and BT: SG not bringing him enough to live

BT:TM is bringing him 750$ dollars from subscribestar, i wouldnt count it as "not bringing any". Although i am not the one paying the money, so i am not complaining about the delay.

It's a big update, let's have patience, summertime saga takes 5 months for 2 to 3 scenes and no one complains.
But DC never gave deadlines (he only says perhaps around a certain date its done but no confirmation) and keeps everyone updated through the streams, while Doc there is issues on comunication when comes about the updates or content its always like hidden and trello isnt much help since its all text and the development its bad management but we get use to it,

i understand alot of the complains but we cant do much about it but wait and some people go around this thread saying stop being whinie bitches etc when they dont realize we are free to talk and this is a pirate site so the only one making fool of themselves are those people we are just expressing our thoughts, i understand defending Doc and his games i like his work but i cant just hide the truth i see and witness.

I love this stuff, so many shining knights in the thread, it's like a comic con with all the white shiny bois ready to rescue the sweet m'lady in distress.

(But he is "coding" in the game)
Yea the game made in rpg maker, heavy coding needed my dude, only hacker level people can use that complex a program.

(But he's a one man team.)
Which is something he decided to be, he could easily hire some help, or get it for free from someone in his fanbase.

(But it's just 1 week! hAvE PaTieNcE!)
Yea, it has been 1 week for ½ a year now, good stuff dude.

(But the PaTrEoN tragedy! The sweet sweet doc "Notice me sempai, i'll do whatever you want daddy" got done wrong by them! It's their fault!)
Ah yes, the great patreon war, a battered veteran who claimed he had a plan for when the big bad patreon hammer got to him, and then had no plan when it did get to him.
But props for milking that for like what, a year?

Poor guy, i hope someone will defend him against all these mean comment, that he totally doesn't deserve to get. ;)

No one wants to hold porn game developers to a higher standard so the quality of games we receive is subpar. All these nerds think they're helping by giving the guy slack but realistically they're just reinforcing the same shitty behavior we always get.

That's now how the internet works. If deadlines are missed, someone, somewhere is gonna be pissy - if the person missing the deadline would be going out of their way to spite the people complaining, this would turn into a quick wildfire that wouldn't shut people up but instead might even affect other projects by the creator. People aren't above reviewbombing secondary projects, that much we should've learned.

I'll drop my two cents here, how much they're worth, you decide for yourself...
The strange thing when it comes to standards is - it's set by both sides: If the dev sets himself to a level of acceptable quality, he's expected to keep on delivering in around that quality and not just drop it a notch or twelve. If the dev decides to switch the used engine and thus derails the entire project into a year-long dumpsterfire (however impressive that may be) it's going to not fly well with the community surrounding that game - Examples for those instances have been set already and with that. Some devs also set the bar for certain genres.

Then there's the issue of variety: Some games just don't appeal to people based on the choice of engine, playstyle, story progression, or even the kinks on display. You name it, it's a factor more or less. Someone wants an in-depth story with multiple paths to take, others might hate that. Someone wants a linear story, the next person might want some sandbox-type game. Add to all of that the different engines used and the variety of kinks on display and you have a spectrum ranging so far that basically any dev can find their place and thus, standards form on a more closely tied basis than for established game genres.

I don't understand the drama, wait for the game or leave it behind...
Drama is the fuel of the internet. But really, there's more than enough smut out there to satisfy anyone. I didn't even know an update was due until I decided to check progress just half an hour ago basically. I'm more or less hyped to see an update out soon.

Lets say, any developer says nothing about a new release, you could comeback to the post after 3 months, check for updates like: "yo! nothing's up.... ill be back later", and then you come back after another 3 months and guess what, new release, u play it, you enjoy it, and then comeback as usual, expecting nothing about releases cause it nevers speaks about it

Now, if you go to a post..... the developer says "yo! u guys getting the next release this XX day" you go, take you time, and when it really is the big XX day u think "this is the big day! today we are going to get a new release!" and when you come back to the post nothing is released, just a note "delayed to XX1 day"- repeat- XX2 day - repeat XX3 day, expecting a marked release day makes you feel like xmas, i mean you are hoping that day comes sooner cause that day is the big day.... but no, is not like that, it keeps being delayed and delayed, you WERE EXPECTING something, is not like you WERENT EXPECTING anything and u got the surprise of something, what makes me feel angry about the doc, is that, he could just do not say anything, just do want he wants and release, without primising sht, without showing any teaser and stuff, but he does it, why? that makes me angry

Cause makes him look like he is tryng to keep his patreons to keep giving him money by promising and promisng stuff, and showing teaser that he could do any day, just to show how "hardworking" he is

I honestly thougth he wasnt a milker, that he was really doing something, but anyone could think this about him now, but he sees all this white knights defending him... makes you think: Is he trying to prove how long will they last until they start to not believing his ****?

I really hope he releases at 15 finally, but deep in the bottom, we all aint getting surprised if he delays again

and if he does release finally something, to those guys who will reply "told ya! u didnt believe him but we did!" try to think there will always be a edge for anyone, and if he did, he found finally the edge of his fanbase

Poor him, he just have been paid around for 3 months 6k USD just by delaying and delaying....

to everyone angry about the delay. who cares how long we waited if the update is only a week away:)
Prime example of a simpleton here. People have said the same thing you said, back in June LAST YEAR. Now it's about to be 8 months and yet people STILL believe him when he says "Yea it'll be very soon." I guess for a skeleton, time is very relative.

To be fair, people that don't donate shit like me and probably you, don't have the right to be whining about delays, since we all get it for free. Lucky for me, I don't wait for a release of a game with one hand on my dick, I hope the same can be said for you, Cheers.
