people get weird about porn games if sex is not happening to their mc (to the point that there are games that get reamed for have other relationships that exist near your character that have nothing to do with you, and not having incest content). and a lot of them are vicious, its usually just easier to change it and move on because the other group of people will never be as vocal about changes as that crowd tends to be. *not saying that's why he ultimately chose to but it probably did not help.
Because its cleaner this way and telling people to ignore part of the game isn't preferable. Why keep something in the game that people just want to skip in the first place? I planned on ignoring it myself and was pleasantly surprised to find the male scenes with those three girls but the rest was a chore. Now the homies who love female protag or just that line of the story have a dedicated place to enjoy it and know when a new update is here and the rest of us don't have to waste time skipping through it to figure out if there's anything worthwhile for me sandwiched between the fPov scenes.
The issue usually isn't that other people are having sex it's that they have to WATCH other people have sex. Personally I'm not interested in seeing my neighbors go at it when I'm trying to get busy with my girlfriend but to each their own. This is ultimately porn and most people are looking to get their fix and avoid things that aren't that.

Whenever I try to scroll the phone gui closes. I can't access new messages.

"H" on your keyboard hides the Interface/textbox. "A" lets you change Font Size/Style and Spacing, "V" enables Self-Voicing (computer reads dialogue), "S" takes a Screenshot and saves it in your game folder. This works for most RenPy games, it might not work for a rare few.
...Yeah, It Was The Incest Patch. Because With It In, It Says "0.3.5" So Just Take It Out And Just Put The 0.3.5.1 Back In.

I redownloaded the incest patch to make sure I didn't forget to apply it and now it's working properly. Thanks for the tip!

yeap, such a shame, just for release another game with the female protagonist, I know the female story don't make sense for the MC, but it's something new and good for faps, but, yeah, poor update.... Meh...

Like I said previously, it doesn't work with a select few games, I think it's because of the way devs code the game. Maybe updating your RenPy version might work?
Will there be any options to change the color of the names in the textbox, to something other than dark blue in the future? Dark blue on black is rather hard to read.
I also found the text box to be a little too large or dark, obstructing quite a bit of the scenes. Would it be possible to either reduce the size/opaqueness of the text box, or implement a slider? Not sure if the engine allows it though. Or does anyone know how to mod the text box?

Not sure if it will break some intended design aspects though, seems fine for now.
