If you downloaded ipatch from the main page then it is outdated i suggest you use unofficial patch made recently by one of the users:I downloaded version 0.4.2.5, but in some scenes I only see a black screen because it can't find the files for said scenes. Does this only happen to me or does anyone else have this problem? Can it be fixed somehow? In the little time I've been playing, I already love it, but missing out on potentially good scenes bothers me a little.
IPatch for the current version( v0.4.2.5 )
made by crossreferencing both outdated patch and orignal file of the newest version...expect errors so back up your saves and save often.
Havent played the entire game so if any error occurs let me know.
Installation:
extract the contents in your "game" folder as usual, you can delete the "scripts.rpa" file inside the game folder.
Some users reported missing images(link issue in the script maybe). Looking into it when i get time.
Change log:
-FIXED(A seperate folder called fourth1 was introduced inside the CG/forth/ directory which wasnt linked in the prev patch script)
-Changed the ipatch file name to make more sense?![]()
If you are a new player or a returning player, go for the (currently) big/full content which ist 0.4.xSo what am I supposed to download
v0.4.2.5
or
v0.8
Why the 0.4 jump?
it's not a remake the 0.4.5 will stay the same, dev just upgrading visuals from hs1 to hs2 for part two of the gamehuh remake. i see, another abandoned project. thats sad, i really liked that game
If its not continuation, its first stage of abandonment. I've seen this too many times. The only exception if dev upgrade visual without remaking old scenes(Only new scenes)it's not a remake the 0.4.5 will stay the same, dev just upgrading visuals from hs1 to hs2 for part two of the game
HS2 will be used in the future season/part once dev gets to a stopping point in current storyCan anyone tell me what engine he's using to make this new game?
We don't know yet, dev doesn't really post unless its update release or showcase of upcoming, prob soon since we haven't gotten an update in a whileWhen is the next update
A lot of really good games go this route. To be honest, I want to call occam's razor and say it's just an excuse for them to make something new while not needing to finish their old project and keeping their Patreon supports in the process, but something tells me the people who tend to make these kinds of games are perfectionists that feel the need to constantly be changing things for better or worse. That's seen pretty clearly here, starting with touching up some old animations, to now making a full on remake. This reminds me of when the Twisted World dev completely randomly decided he was going to redesign all his characters and reboot/remake the game, ruining the game's style and vibe in the process, the excuse was that everything was now more high-quality, in the end, he ended up stagnating the project, add to that the fact that the Dev basically insulted his fans when they complained, lol.
The previous example may be exaggerated since nothing has happened here yet, but the changes in the uploaded demo were quite radical, you're not going to instantly make everyone like redesigned characters that look nothing like the old ones, even if they look a little better visually, the problem is that people who get hooked on these games do so because the characters end up growing on them, even if some parts of the game look a bit crude, people accept that and end up seeing it as part of the characters, you're only going to earn rejection from a portion of the fans if you change so many things.
The mistake of the Twisted World Dev was that instead of "improving" his old characters, he decided to change them completely, removing all their previous charisma, in addition to adding a bunch of weird fetishes that nobody asked for (probably some whale did), in any case, I don't understand why these Devs don't finish their games and then release sequels taking advantage of the solid base they got with the first game, in the sequel they can make all the changes they want lol.
