Unfortunately this is the reality where ultimately the quality of the game is not what really matters the most. This is also why I try to mention to new devs that their goal should not be to create the best/perfect game. As new devs, their main goal should be to gather enough support to ensure the game development can continue. To do so, they need to keep producing updates to put their name out there and keep their game relevant in the saturated market of AVN.
Looking at this game, despite its obvious great quality, taking 9 months to come up with an update is far too long. It doesn't help either that the update was "Part 1" and not even a full chapter. New devs should first and foremost always know their own capacity and work around that.
