i'm saddened by the way random shit that is able to get public support. Especially so many new projects are getting abandoned after not enough support. I really want to see next gen graphics games that don't prioritize quantity and bad quality with lazy sex scenes over something that looks good and erotic.
I posted the other day about the bar for AVN's being in hell and this is one of the reasons why. So many crappy projects are getting supported while a lot of the newer... well written, top notch art ones are struggling. All I see these days is someone trying to copy what the next person is doing.

A game that gets successful for having for a female protagonist drugged, raped and sleeps with as many people as she can? Better create 30 more like it.

A game where the lazy artist just slaps on a giant futa dick on a female character and call it art? Give me 60 more like it.

Same with the copy and paste NTR and Harem games. Devs don't even try anymore and the ones that do put out something now doesn't get support.

Unfortunately, I agree with everything you said. :( It's quite disappointing.

Unfortunately this is the reality where ultimately the quality of the game is not what really matters the most. This is also why I try to mention to new devs that their goal should not be to create the best/perfect game. As new devs, their main goal should be to gather enough support to ensure the game development can continue. To do so, they need to keep producing updates to put their name out there and keep their game relevant in the saturated market of AVN.

Looking at this game, despite its obvious great quality, taking 9 months to come up with an update is far too long. It doesn't help either that the update was "Part 1" and not even a full chapter. New devs should first and foremost always know their own capacity and work around that.

You just can never tell these days. The short and sweet method can work for some to establish their name but ultimately you can never tell with how inconsistent supporters are going to be. While that method seemed to have worked fine for Devs like Tora productions and Orb Origin. You still have guys like: Digib, Darkblue and Naughtyroad who all came on the scene without a audience base and are doing well.

As far as time goes, that's tricky because Naughtyroad always had a much slower pace when releasing Light Of My Life and he still was getting support. Now that AVN drops once again I believe yet his support is still going strong.

Yuno is a artist that's pretty known and look how that project ended up. You just can never tell anymore but it's sad seeing stories that at least try to be different get zero support.
