My first objective is to rewrite some of the mechanics and i already managed a great deal, but there is still a lot to do before i can even think about adding something.
I want to make the code more transparent and easier to modify, mainly that i can more easily add new stuff (and find bugs faster and more reliable). For example i want to add (what some of you have suggested) that you can skip some content (especially when you end a turn) and instead give the option to deactivate different categories, which will be shown in a summary instead.

I thought about changing other stuff, like the click to continue if you don't skip content, and just see a summary, or the overall design of the game. I decided against it, because if i would design it like i wanted to, i pretty much had to write the whole game from scratch.
However, i will change some of the UI to make it a little more intuitive and i also want to come up with a better idea how to manage the video files, to make it easier for anyone wanting to add his own movie clips.

I already added some other ideas, like that when you have explored to 100%, you can chose what you are searching for and i also started to "streamline" the story events (like with the old guy in the beginning) that it will fit better to the overall design and is more enjoyable.

It's been a while, thanks for your concern.

I really had a hard time and was totally demotivated i have to admit, especially since i had also RL stuff going on that wasn't all too pleasant.

However, i didn't want all the stuff i learned go to waste and really enjoyed the coding (if you can call it that using Twine), therefore i started a while ago working on another project. A simpler game which probably would be liked by a broader audience and get me more subscribers (when i may start patreon or subscribestar), because the workload is quite high and i think this game is more for niche players. The new game is somewhat like Reign with porn, but i "only" have most part of the skeletton, nothing to play yet.

However, as i started to work on the new game, i checked out BreakDown and i have to admit that i like the game, even though the code is pretty complex and interlaced.
Since i hate not to finish something, especially when i like it, i started to continue working on it.
I hope to make a game one day. ( well, twine is the limit right now and probably the ultimate limit) and what you have created is lovely and wonderful. Take your time Dev and thank you for your work.

Checking on my list of "keepers" games saw this one. It's a chame it's abandoned. I liked the concept a lot. not particulary enjoying the theme but got hooked with the system and replayability. Hope the Dev comes back soon.

Since the changes i make to the mechanics go deep, a lot of stuff won't function as intended until iam finished, which means it will take a while until i can deliver an updated playable version.
Is it shelved again, or do you occasionally work on it?
I understand it's just a hobby or something, just want to know what to generally expect.
