I'll be honest, I consider myself basically straight but I love futa. I don't mind the penis but I don't want it anywhere near my entrances lmao. Again, this shouldn't make me homophobic or misogynistic... It's just not what I'm into. I like male on futa, futa on futa and futa on female but dislike futa on man. For reference, I say I'm basically straight because I've been with trans women and haven't really minded, so it's more accurate to say I'm attracted to femininity rather than women.
Was I talking to you? Kindly go back and read closely what Mr. Wizzard the Alpha Male has been posting for the past few pages.

I'll help you out...

Estimates 13k-35k a month, from research including Patreon's own, most people settle in center tiers so I'd guess around ~20k a month. This is despite a steady downward trend.

I have absolutely nothing against using patreon, I just wish more creators took their fans more seriously and treated them and their game more fairly/honestly/whatever.
Man I need to learn to code and make a mediocre porn game. I'd be happy with just 5k-10k a month.

Breeders of the Nephelym (BOTN) Incest Patcher

THE PATCHER IS NOT NEEDED ANYMORE

You can easily enable incest in the game as shown below:

OVERVIEW:
A file named imma.degenerate needs to be in the same folder as OBF.exe.
  • It does not need to contain anything.
  • It must be the same folder as OBF.exe.
  • The filename is imma and the extension is degenerate.
It doesn't matter what creates the file, it should work as long as the filename/extension is correct.

METHOD 1:
In the folder where OBF.exe is located, create a file called imma.degenerate (be sure to enable show file extensions if you're using Windows explorer). The file does not need to contain anything.
METHOD 2:
Command Prompt:
In the folder where OBF.exe is located, type echo. > imma.degenerate and you'll be all set.
Command Prompt (PowerShell) :
In the folder where OBF.exe is located, type New-Item -Path . -Name "imma.degenerate" -ItemType "file" and you'll be all set.
I'm not sure how long this will work and I think it would be best for all of us to not mention it on Patreon (or DH's Discord) especially.
This works with the Steam version as well but if your Steam library is in Program Files, you'll need administrative rights to create the file on Windows 10. Please follow the Steam instructions below if you need help.
STEAM:
For Steam, this gets a bit more complex because of the higher security present in Program Files.
  • Open a "Command Prompt" or "Command Prompt (Powershell)", you'll need to run either as Administrator. (NOTE: Windows Terminal generally won't let you start an Administrator session).
  • Depending on your settings, you'll may get a elevation prompt. Accept it to continue.
  • The following step assumes the default location for the game folder. If your Steam library is installed somewhere else you'll need to use the correct path: pushd "%SystemDrive%\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Breeders of the Nephelym Alpha" (Powershell: cd "$Env:SystemDrive\Program Files (x86))\Steam\steamapps\common\Breeders of the Nephelym Alpha")
  • Now you just need to create the file: echo. > imma.degenerate (Powershell: New-Item -Path . -Name "imma.degenerate" -ItemType "file")
  • Close the command window/powershell: exit
The patcher will eventually return with support for this for a few reasons:
  • There's no telling how long this will work and we may be back to patching soon.
  • If people use a patcher for something so simple it may help hide this from Patreon from that much longer.
  • Some users may just find it it easier. Obviously if it's using the file method, it will not actually be doing any patching at all. Just creating (or removing) a file as directed.
  • The patcher is, unfortunately, not my highest priority at the moment.
This game is no longer in my Steam Library, got updated not that long ago, but now it is gone.

idk if its this specifically but, Visa and PayPal are forcing Steam to remove NSFW/Adult games
kind of what Patreon was forced to do but more-so
That's recent. I was looking at steam and the last update this game got was in was in feb of last year. I'll check again to see if it got an update but it looks to be abandoned.

Yes and no and yes.
Yes and no: Visa and Mastercard are putting pressure on Steam. They can not legally force them to do anything (and honestly, there actions are legally on the grey side very close to being black but US Politicians are NOT going to step into this PR nightmare). PayPal isn't involved with Steam, they are involved with what's happening on Itch.io.

No: It's not "to remove NSFW/Adult games" it's "to remove games with certain themes" those themes being non-consensual sex (towards women), incest and petite women (you know the dreaded four letter word). I'll honestly be surprised if games featuring shota be weeded out, but you never know.

No: Patreon was not forced to, like Steam, like Tumblr, like Itch.io and every other place. They can not legally do this, all they can do is put pressure on them. It's just that these places quickly bend the knee, not thinking about the backlash from their customers. Yes, PPC have a measure of control towards where money goes...but they are not the ones actually paying.

And this is where I say their actions is legally grey, they are not telling these places what they can't do....they are essentially telling the people who pay THEM money to pay other people what they can't spend their money on. And that is eventually going to blow up in their faces. American Express and Discover are going to gladly pick up what they threw away and VISA is already facing legal actions against them outside US/UK/AUS.

In conclusion, it's gonna be a tough year or two for H game developers but give it a while for the masses to wise up (once they start coming after what they love) or more international bad press to happen and it'll either pivot back or new places will rise from the ashes of the fallen.

Game is both in my library and I can still play it from Steam. So far, the only thing I can't access are my saves for Mad Island off the Steam Cloud but luckily the game saves physically on your drive as well so nothing lost.
