Game Internal Name Change Info
OBF is the new internal name. (0.753.7 and later)
RADIANT was the old one (prior to 0.753.7)
CURRENT NAME | TYPE | OLD NAME | FUNCTION |
OBF.exe | Executable | Radiant.exe | Game Launcher |
OBF | Folder | Radiant | Game Assets and Code |
OBF-Win64-Shipping.exe | Executable | Radiant-Win64-Shipping.exe | Main Executable |
%LOCALAPPDATA%\OBF | Folder | %LOCALAPPDATA%\Radiant | Save/Configuration Folder |
The following files have the internal code name in them (and thus can't just be copied, at least without modification).
Engine.ini
Game.ini
GameUserSettings.ini
Save files do reference the internal name but they are compatible if copied/moved to the new location.
Notes
Steam, right now, is not removing RADIANT because if the user is still on the public build it would break the game (literally), once the OBF switch is public things will get less messy (I chatted with DH on this issue).
If you have both, in theory if run RADIANT you will run the latest public build, if you run OBF it will run the newest test build. I would
not recommend
renaming one to the other as it will then load assets from a different version. (If you insist on this route, you'd need to rename the folder
and the Radiant-Win64-Shipping.exe to match - I haven't tested such a procedure and don't recommend it.)
