Yep, there's a known issue with v0.745 ALPHA, lots of folks who updated to that version have already been posting about it. There's a couple of workarounds that have been posted, but, seeing as I've held off updating to v0.745 (or any of the other recent ALPHA releases), I don't know which works best. Check the previous posts for the details of the workarounds, alternatively just revert to the previous version you were using.
I get the error then Window Mode is not set to Windowed.
If you got this error open
"C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Radiant\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini" and remove "FullscreenMode=0".
Here you can also set a Limit for the Framerate to reduce GPU usage. "FrameRateLimit=60.000000"

I went to play this on my old pc since my new one is down, I received an error message saying I'm missing some "api ms win crt runtime" file. Anyone else ever encounter that?
If not I'll probably just wait until the new pc is up and running again. Either that or see how strong my google-fu is.

There's your problem. You need at least DirectX10, preferably 11, and that means 64bit OS minimum as well.
It's old relative to the new one, I want to say 3 years, but I did the whole dxdiag thing and it's still X11 and 64 bit.
Looking into the missing .dll file now, trying to see if maybe it's something I can download and just drop into a folder or something.

well, the game is all about opening the gates so that you have more Nephelym, so it doesn't seem strange to me that there are these updates now that he's done creating Nephelym, landscapes and animations.
I don't know if you know but until recently there were no gates, they were placed after and as far as I'm concerned I prefer it like this compared to before you just had to do breeding.

Yeah I played just before he started restricting areas. Seems stupid not to finish all the sex animations first before adding tedious grindy mechanics

if it were to do only animations the game would become like WILD LIFE which has only animations and at this point rather than playing it better watch a porn video.

Well if so, I can only give you a tip: go to Discord, if I'm not mistaken there is a channel for suggestions.
But don't give us too much hope because you risk being disappointed.
I see that the dev is trying to progressively introduce new mechanics to make this feel more like a game..
But the true gameplay loop experience this game (and other breeding games) has provided us all along is the "see updates and complain loop"
