In breedtown 1, the protag convinces a naive shortstack tomboy that he is in love with her (despite having met about 30 minutes ago) so she'll let him fuck her. She gets a pretty depressing ending as he completely betrays her trust without a second thought. When she re-appears in the second game working in a convenience store, whenever he buys an item from the shop (bolt cutters, gas can, shovel, etc.) she suggests he should violently kill or mutilate himself with it under her breath. Several other girls from Breedtown 1 got bad endings (the Nerd, the Queen Bee and the Punk Girl all get it pretty rough) but the Tomboy's ending really stood out for making players feel guilty.
In Breedtown 2 there is a waitress who had a sex change operation to become a woman. Because this is the future, she's fully reproductively functional, and the scene plays out as a pretty standard "PLAP PLAP PLAP GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT" one, but many players were outraged regardless.

Short of some really egregious betrayal of character there is no way Nero (who I'm pretty sure has a non-binary gender identity and seems to prefer they/them pronouns, though they never preach at anybody about it or spell it out in so many words) would become a couple with him. Nero just gets more and more pissed at him over the course of the game as the interviews pretty much confirm every bad assumption they have about him. At the very end when he mentions how Fertech owns him Nero is almost sympathetic for a moment, but then Reed goes and confirms that Nero's initial assumption about his motivations from the opening monologue was completely correct, even using the exact same words.
I believe the reason for this is because of Nero's non-binary gender identity. Reed's monologue which he gives in every game specifically says "every woman I've ever had sex with has given birth to my kid". Nero doesn't self-identify as a 'woman' (despite their orientation being 'heterosexual' in terms of anatomy - Nero tells the gyaru she/they are only interested in guys and aren't attracted to females) so his power is less effective.
I think many of us were quite disappointed that that's how it ended, but, the dev has confirmed that Nero will also appear in the final game so presumably there will be a second chance to do things properly.
I am telling you people, the way to go is to redeem Brandon and him and Nero becoming a couple. SHE CAN FIX HIM
I think that's the only way forward. Harem isn't bad, but all these connections were shallow. I think there is a great opportunity for ending the series on a strong note.

Not even gonna talk about how relationships transform all the time and just because somebody doesn't like somebody else now, it doesn't mean it will remain that way in the future. Honestly, it's like I am reading kid post.
Nero doesn't hate Brandon, she hates what Brandon represents and what he does. But even if she hated him, it doesn't mean she cannot fix him. Truly spoken like a guy who has never seen a girl end up with a guy that she disliked originally.
I intentionally didn't use a spoiler tag, so that people can search for solution easily. If it's hidden in spoiler tag, it won't come out in search results. And this thread is going to grow bigger quickly going forward and my reply will get buried. So mostly people who look for the solution to the puzzle will see it.

why would he need to be "fixed" he is doing the lords work. Thats kinda why this game is weak with how it decided to twist lore out of nowhere. Brandon just doing his thing would have suited the game better and just have the detective as his nemesis u gotta evade doing it as the new mechanic.
Also has anyone located where the saves are i don't see em in the main folders

its a game and a crude RPGM. Always assume its case sensitive especially in RPGmaker games. You even have an option telling you to change input method which gives you an all caps letter selection first

How the fuck do you run this game? When I open the game.exe it just opens a window reading nw.js and a bunch of chromium node shit.
