Nero's dedicated their life to stopping brandon why would they keep the baby? them being able to terminate the pregnancy shows that there's something up it provides intrigue

Clearly that is not enough explanation. Nero is far from the first to be angry and hateful towards Brandon after a 'Breedtown', but all those other girls kept the baby. My personal theory, as I've said, is that it was due to Nero's non-binary gender identity.
Either way, CW, the creator, is surely aware that the twist ending didn't go over well with fans. Patreon comments were just as down on it as here. That almost makes me worry, because based on how things turned out in BT2 regarding outcry over the Tomboy scene from the first game (making it canonical), I almost worry that the finale might have something prevent what we all want to see with Nero *again*, just to troll and spite the complainers.
Hopefully that won't be the case.
Yes, if you nail the suspect, you get the tiger pregnancy test, which lets you replay any of the scenes.

Keeping/Not-keeping the baby doesn't add any intrigue that wasn't already established. Nero is already show to be different by the fact she had sex without feeling anything, unlike the other women. It's not that deep, I know, but it's still a wasted opportunity to add more endgame preg content with a character you spend a lot of time with. Hell, a non-canon preg ending is still better than nothing, which works well with trying to find the true endings and bad endings he was going with. In the interest of giving those extra scenes, it would've made plenty of sense.
Still a top-tier game. Very happy with the mystery stuff and 'lore'.

Ngl, I went back and redid some things to see if it would make Nero keep the baby and disappointed to see here that they abort it regardless of what you do in the game. My first play through I didn't tell anyone to get an abortion and I figured out the real culprit on my first try, but I did trick that crazy bitch into going to the asylum so I figured that might have been it; go back and "say nothing" to her and go through the rest again and NOPE, no Nero with a pregger belly. Legitimately the only thing from any of these games that doesn't quite sit right with me.
The abortion ending was popular with basically none of the playerbase, either here or on Patreon.
I think that there may have been a certain degree of miscalculation here by TCW (the developer). There was a lot of hype for Nero when info about BT3 started coming out ~6 months before the release. But I honestly don't see how much hype for Nero will still exist by the time the big finale of BT4 rolls around in another year and a half or thereabouts. I think TCW may have overestimated how invested the playerbase is in this character. At the end of the day, this is a porn game. When you're writing a drama, or any other kind of story really, it's expected that the writer will yank the audience's chain to a certain degree and deny them what they "want" in the interest of telling a more compelling story.
But I don't think a porn game should really do that.
Now, on the other hand, one could easily say that it's ridiculous for fans to focus on the one, solitary lust object in Breedtown 3 that DOESN'T end the game pregnant - like, "You get to see every other woman go through the pregnancy as expected, why is Nero's ending a big deal?" And the reason is, because Nero is what the game centered around. Not just the pre-release teasers, but they're in every single scene so every scene in the whole game is tantalizing the player with that prospect.
And then, we get that scene! And the scene itself is fantastic! Wouldn't change a thing about it! And then, right when the player is anticipating the 'payoff' the most... blueballs.
It worries me somewhat that the Nero ending has almost totally dominated discussion, on the Patreon as well. After Breedtown 1 and Breedtown 2, the discussion was broadly positive and mostly focused on what girl was people's favorite (aside from complaints in BT1 about one particular ending being too dark). This time, the abortion thing has sucked up all the oxygen. This is subjective and might involve personal bias but I don't feel like, aside from Nero, any of the women from BT3 who have the usual pregnancy-ending-slide really stood out as a beloved scene. I think Ellie and Mia came the closest.
Setting Nero aside I found the BT3 roster overall disappointing. BT1 and BT2 each had one or two "perfect" scenes that I could keep coming back to (pun intended) but there just wasn't any equivalent to that in BT3. Whenever I try to focus on the positive I find myself damning the scenes with faint praise. Like, "The scenes with Caroline and Alejandra were pretty good, I guess".
Trying to focus on the positive but I'm kind of afraid that BT3 will either fake us out again with Nero just to troll the audience... Or, alternatively, Nero will drop all their previous well-earned hatefulness and become a willing sex slave or something, which would defeat the whole appeal.

I really can't undersell the disappointment I felt with that ending.
