I couldn't figure out the injection/localhost either, but you can use saveeditonline.com - save game to disk at the very beginning (before going through the background choices that change your stats from "1"), upload to the website, adjust to your heart's content, then load the adjusted savegame (from disk obviously). Worked for me..

The variables in the code are kind of strange. I wonder what this ChoseArmour/Melee/Ranged stuff is since I certainly chose an option for each. I also expected way more variables than this. 1703041256108.png

I cant seem to find my previous saves. Does anyone know where the save location or anyone have any saves from the end of the 0.3 version?

This is a Twine based project, so the saves are stored in the LocalStorage area of the web-browser that was used to view the project's Story HTML file.

If you have used that web-browser's "clear cookies" (or similar) feature, then those saves will of been deleted.

note: This project seems to be built upon the Twine SugarCube Story Format, whose Save Dialog includes a "Save to File" feature. Files created by that feature are stored on the local hard-drive, generally in the web-browser's "Download" location, unless an alternative location was supplied at the time the "save" file was created.

Fantastic story and writing, with compelling characters, fun dialogue, and really pretty AI art too!

I saw that someone posted a cheat which requires an extra download and other stuff. For the record, if you want to always roll well, it's as simple as opening index.html in a text editor and do Find + Replace "random(1, 20)" with something like "random(19, 20)".

I'm not a big fan of RNG in games which is why I used that, but as with all cheats this will definitely take away from some of the intended game experience, so be forewarned. If you were going to save scum every skillcheck anyway though, this'll save you some time.

ive made a cheat for the game, this require local server because i didnt tamper with the game html at all, instead include it on another file which is injection.php. if you want to use local server on pc you could use xampp, on android you could use ultimate server.
how to use the cheat :
1. extract inside the game folder
2. rename the index.html to main.html
3. run the injection.php in localhost
4. enjoy
note : dont forget to save to disk just in case.

Yeah, it sucks this game got abandoned. For an HTML-based game, it was pretty solid. The writing was great, the AI-generated images were decent, the characters felt real, and the magic system was really well done.

If summoning_circle ever happens to see this, I used to be one of your Patreon subscribers. If you ever come back and continue the game—even though it's a long shot—I’d definitely support you again.

Totally agree - thought the writing was exceptionally good honestly, drew me in hook line and sinker!

You're a legend! I've got to try this out! Will you keep it updated regularly?
I appreciate it. This was a very small update, mainly to test the waters and see if there is still interest in the game. I am not sure if I can continue it because I need to prioritize my own things, but if enough people want to see more, I can try working on it further, assuming people can tolerate slow progress.

I feel like the part I added is decent, or at least not terrible, but still missing something. I think it needs more focus on the character development and strong personalities in the dialogue, because that was one of the game's biggest strengths. Let me know what you think.

Certainly interest! This game was very fun and had solid worldbuilding and depth!

When next Zapple update? :whistle::coffee:
Thanks for the question and interest! I'll confess that I'm VERY stuck on Chapter 8. I'm considering throwing it to a finish after the nice wrap up I had in Chapter 7 and calling it a day. But I'm unsure of what to do on that regard. My ambitions got the best of me for CH8. However I'd still love to continue. I've been busy, in personal life, so trying to get back to it. If you have thoughts on the game itself, your favorite parts, criticisms etc. I'd love to hear it! Either here or in DMs!

I have been working on another HTML Twine project, for the record, and am planning on throwing that out there soon. If anyone had interest in Zapple!, as well, I'd love to talk more with them about it!
