Damn, Kylie does look really good. She is out of this planet. Interesting scene hiding under an office desk... What could it be? Either way I am restless... Hope the next episode is in sight already, can't wait to see how everything develops. And I hope the next episode isn't just couple of scenes, but has some actual content to go through...

Can you play as a bad cop (whether real or to maintain cover) in this game?

Want to give it a try as I like the genre, but the tags are pretty vanilla for the setting. No corruption, maledom or prostitution etc. I mean what kind of crime syndicate doesn't even run a brothel or two?

ummm, the best kind?
certainly it would be welcome, im sure, to go into maledom, prostitution, rape....game, and ask for a "vanilla" path...because of a "genre" :LUL:

^ I was asking if there was one already in the game not for one. Big difference. If there isn't I'll move on. As for genre, I didn't define it ... it says right in the first sentence of the OP "a place consumed by drugs, corruption and criminal organizations." That's why I asked.

Anywayz, you kind of answered my question indirectly, so thanks.

Generally what you wrote previously should be a possible choice by nowadays standards - playing gangster with a badge in particular. It happens often in real life so it is realistic assumption to have in this type of game and world/story setting. But doing so requires quite the overhaul of the entire game plus changing the routes and the consequences related to them. Adding something complicated as a "bad meter" or "negativity" trait with it's own unique options of influencing the story or certain outcomes in main events storywise. In general it could be bad route, but helpful in the "dark side" of things, for instance making the bad guys shit themselves from fear when speaking to them having "dreadful" reputation or intimidating influence and presence in overall. I've seen it firsthand happening real life, so it is a valid point to work on. But it is hard enough to implement gamewise with the game build so far. It would turn into some proper detective/mafia RPG that way.

Hmm, I don't usually complain or share My opinion about how long it takes for a game to get updated because there's people that will take the time to criticize you for it, but almost a year of waiting is way too long. Just waiting on Ocean drives me crazy sometimes, but the only thing that would drive me even crazier is if, when it finally comes out, it doesn't have enough renders for an update that's been a year in the making.

A year in the making! TakMycket, the dev for Tides, made over 5,000 renders in just 4 months so if he spent a full year on it, he'd have made around 15,000 renders. let's say If the dev that works on Broken Promises only makes about 50 renders a day that's

50 renders a day × 365 days = 18,250 renders per year

And yeah, I get that money, computer specs, CPUs, and how much time you can dedicate to rendering all effect update time but still. If this update doesn't have more than 3-4,000+ when it drops, I'm gonna lose it.

Anyway, just wanted to share my opinion that nobody asked for. If you don't like it then don't read it.

hmm, such a weird thing...usually im the one criticizing "hardworking" popular and highly supported devs releasing one (medium sized) update per year (or year and a half), which probably will turn to one-updater-per-two-years soon enough, yet im here the one defending this game and its dev.:HideThePain:

the main thing here is that these dudes arent full time devs, they do it in their spare time only, as a hobby (money making one obviously). having that in mind, would say even average of 5 renders per day is overly optimistic, not sure where you got 50 renders per day from? :LUL: even the most productive daz3d artists/devs (not some dpc milkkind) hardly can manage 20-30 renders per day on average.

to cut it short, we might expect update late this summer and it will most probably be pretty much like the previous one in terms of its content and number of renders. anyone expecting anything more than that, will be disappointed...

I know, the 50 renders I honestly don’t know where I got that number from; It was just something I threw out. I was just giving my opinion it might not be right, but I just wanted to voice it (or type it). But hey, it’s okay and thanks!

And I understand more now with some background info on these devs.

I'm gonna say only that game under this genre which is not something quite common (actually it is very rare) and the image quality that it has, takes it's sweet time developing. Not to mention that there are always changes that happen during production. Either way if the next chapter/update is decent sized in content, options for routes and choices impacting the story progression, it will be worth the waiting. Just saying... It is annoying, but it is the price for the quality of the product... especially as mentioned above that these dudes/dude are not full time devs and are pushing this either way even as a hobby.
