If you mean one of those HTML games, well, sorta. Mechanically, the two closest games to BK are Slave Maker and Whore Master. If you ever played one of those, you'll feel right at home.

The game essentially has three types of pictures: 'story', 'default' and 'girl'. 'Story' is the stuff used for, well, NPCs, random encounters, trainers, etc. This is where most of the truly noticeable censorship is because it's largely stolen from existing commercial games. This is fully under Goldo's control, he's just too lazy busy to hunt for better pictures himself.

Then there's 'girls', which is what 'girl packs' are. The variety there is immense, although the biggest focus tends to be on (more or less) popular anime/game/comic characters. But there are also VN girls, 'real' pornstars, some celebrities, furry critters (e.g. you can pimp out Pikachu, or a version of it, in any case ), etc.

And then there are the optional 'default' pictures that serve as fallbacks for when a pack lacks some type of picture. These also have a heavy dose of censorship due to the same reasons as 'story', but you can cut those out and just display different pictures from your girl pack. E.g. she doesn't have a 'deepthroat' image, so you get 'oral' instead. Or doesn't have any blowjobs at all, so you just get a picture of her naked.

The vast majority of the images you see in the game come from the girl packs. And those are built from R34 imagery taken from all over the place. Some censored, most not.

The core game imagery is taken from existing Japanese games, and where it is censored there's not much that can be done about it.

When a game is built using imagery taken from across the internet you are stuck with what you can get.

Depends what you consider near complete. Gameplay/mechanics wise it's very developed and it feels like a complete experience (to me at least) you could spend hundreds of hours with. That being said, new ideas are also constantly being discussed and implemented. Story-wise it's maybe only 35% done.

If you're waiting for this game to be completely finished before trying it then you're going to be waiting for a while. My current estimation would be that the updates stop around 5-10 years from now.

Yes. Every girl pack contains (or is supposed to contain) BDSM. Bondage is one of the fetish sexual acts customers can request from a girl.

Edit: Oh, yeah, Kite80 hasn't been around yet. We got another update about 12 hours ago, some of which was anti-nerfing. Food can be somewhat stacked again, Haggler is back in (most) of its glory and the Headhunter mod is officially supported now.

Yes and no. Girl pack censorship is rare and easily removed, just find and delete the offending picture (and repair your pack in an ongoing save).

Story censorship, not so much. If someone had the ability and will to use decensoring software, I'm sure it could be made much better. No such swell guy yet, though.

Some of the games might even have had a decensored version and Goldo could update. I just contributed a little to that.

It's a hobby, not a job to Goldo. It's kinda like a rich guy buying a farm to relax and mess around with on weekends, and his wife going going "WTF, you've had it for ten years, why is it not an industrial money-maker yet?! Loser!".

Most packs should have some. Maybe even lots, if there's enough source material. From a brief look, for instance Wonder Woman, Raven, Starfire, Raphtalia, Elsa, Belldandy, Sailor Venus all have a reasonable amount.

There are two easy solutions: either delete your 'persistent' data by nuking both saves folders (in the game directory and under Appdata), or just consoling 'persistent.girl_mix["default"] = []'. I think the issue has been discussed in this thread here, too.


Most of it is usually indeed pointless. The majority of the time, it's the last line that tells you exactly what went wrong and where. Of course, not knowing how the game or indeed Python work can sometimes leave you scratching your head...

Here. If you delete the saves then delete them both at the same time. One is in the Brothel King-pc/game the other one is in the appdata/roaming/renpy/Bro King folder.

As many have before you, "0.2 v211126" shows you have not downloaded the latest update patch and extracted it into the "game" folder with overwrite.

After you do this, you need to delete "game/*.rpyc" files to force recompile (since date-modified/compiled will be out of sync).

To fix the specific error shown, use one of the two solutions given here. Remove the persistent files before running program, or use console command at first opportunity after running program. This error is possibly from installing over an earlier installation like from ver 0.15b.
