Just a side note to this whole issue of girls not returning. It sounds like we have a glitch somewhere that occasionally results in not all return events getting processed on the correct day. Jman alluded to one possibility. No way to know if that's the root of this recurring problem, as it's a rare and unpredictable bug.

But I wanted to note that there is a super easy way to replicate the problem. And it's one that was the original reason I first encountered it many moons ago. And it's likely responsible for at least some of the reports of the problem over the years. I hinted at it above.

One of the cheats in the cheat menu allows you to skip days. Skip X days forward or backwards. This cheat will super easily jump right past the return day for most any away event.

If it was only the cheat causing this, I would not be as concerned with a sanity check. You cheat, you accept that you may break the game. But there is enough indication that there is some other rare glitch going on to make it IMHO well worth fixing any system that sends girls away to check for past return dates.

I'm not much of a computer guy (as evidenced by my tweeting my junk to everyone and losing my Congressional seat) but it seems that when I try to copy the patch files over, the game always crashes on me.

Can't someone upload the latest game including the patch so there's just one thing to download and install? Is it that complicated a procedure?

At least the latest patch (and probably before) does account for time travel. I just tried, sent a girl on a two-day quest, jumped three days into the future and voila, she was back like a dog with a frisbee.

It might be it's a legacy save's issue, a deeper problem, or something different. There are actually several layers of events in the event queue system, so all kinds of weird side effects are possible. But I think unless we get a current save that specifically exhibits the 'away for good' issue, there's not much that can be done about it.

No more than installing the patch in the first place. It is tedious and wasteful of bandwidth.

One could ask the F95 uploaders to apply the patch the game first, since they're rehosting the whole thing anyway. They tend to be overworked people, though.

It's not that it's complicated. It only take a few min at best. The only thing you need to do is just copy/paste the things in the patch to the brothel king-pc/game folder. It's take more time to upload it somewhere. But oh well

2nd & 3rd meeting with each Kunoichi is random location in their district. You'll eventually meet them.

Also see FAQ, but you haven't run into anything unusual yet. Makabishis can bypass 1st & 2nd meetings' minigames; 3rd meeting is unwinnable but a specific one is needed to progress.

It means she thinks a certain sexual act/position/fetish is icky and she feels uncomfortable with performing or training it.

You get rid of it through training. Under "Special Training" you can select "Remove negative fixation" once you've discovered that she has one.

Sadly i abandoned the game, she was one of my best but she was one with +200% upkeep and just drained the coffers with no end, so i moved away, i wish her luck with whatever the guild does with her afterwards.

So meet with her, already.
Story goals/elements will sometimes interact with (block) chapter goals. That may not be obvious, with only 2 chapters of plot.

What is your version number? Do you know if you are using "v 0.2 Release" base code, or prior "v 0.2 Test"?

Next time please include entire traceback.txt in spoiler, as it usually but not always includes version number.

The function res_font() is included in BKfunctions.rpy with init level -3, so that should be available at this stage to my understanding.

Your game/BKfunctions.rpy file should have a modified date of about May 6, 2022.
If that is correct, you may have "compile date confusion" due to trying to run the game BEFORE installing update patch. Cure is to delete all "game/*.rpyc" files and run game, which will recompile. See FAQ.

Simply put. You need to go ninja hunting 3 TIMES FOR ALL 3 OF THEM. The first time the place was fixed where you find it 2nd and 3rd time are random place in the same district where you found them. (1st pic). Just click on the HUNT NINJA button (2nd pic) and you will see a mini event where you found the ninja. (3rd pic). For the FIRST 2 HUNT FOR EACH NINJA you can use the Makibishi what you can buy in the shop for 500 GOLD (4th and 5th pic). For the 3rd time let the timer go to zero it's unwinable either way. After that visit Papa Freak (6th pic) send him a girl with 50 CHARM, BEAUTY, BODY AND REFINMENT (1 GIRL NEED TO HAVE IT). And YAAAAAY you can advance to any chapter onward.

Edit: Papa Freak location change depending wich of the 2 district you have choosen.
