You need to either install Applocale or just change locale to Japanese to play the game. Changing it is the faster solution. Heres video if you dont know how

If I remember it's one of the options (obviously in Japanese!) at the top, the one with the two drop downs and a tick next to one. Choose the other option and it should switch to full screen but I'm not sure if it will be stretched on a widescreen monitor or not. Good luck.
