The idea originally came from zoologists studying captive wolf pack behaviour in the mid 20th century and has long since been debunked since captive behaviour is by definition, artificial, and cannot be equated to natural behaviour in the wild.

Well fuck. Thanks for the answer. It's annoying how early on supporting her means your the "cool" guy to her and later she thinks the MC is a "pushover". I was pretty much WTFed with that line of reasoning.
