didnt steam ban a bunch of creators of vns?
That was over a month ago at this point, there have been other developments since then. Getting rid of early access for adult games, rejecting any games that had applied for it. Banning adult game update that add new content, it has to be done another way, rejecting a lot more games now, there are more issues with Steam going now as well.

There has been major fallout in the last few months (still ongoing). It's about censorship, and payment processors dictating what we can buy with our own money.

This just isn't Steam, it affected Itch.io, it has affected many "adult" oriented sites in Japan, manga, toys, games, and so on. It has even for a few years now affected Anime.

Thankfully some sites in Japan are fighting back.

At the end of the day, it boils down to censorship and Steam having to remove a lot of games with certain tags and words and content, same with Itch.io. Steam is also rejecting more and more games and changing more and more things.

This isn't Steam's fault by a long shot really (it kind of is since they bent the knee), the blame is with MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal.

By that logic, none of the mainstream games would ever make a profit because all games leak eventually (thanks to pirates).

Guess what? There exist people (like me) that subscribe & financially support devs that make excellent products, no matter how fast the end product is available for free. It's called being a decent human being.

Piracy is unavoidable, and trying to fight it (especially in the AVN industry) is futile effort.
Yes, I too support devs that make excellent products that end up on here. I just don't begrudge a Dev's effort to keep the game off the site for a period of time to make money. If it was all a futile effort, then why bother? How many supporters does a Dev lose if their product ends up on a pirate site within the first 24 hours? It completely relies on the goodness of people to support the Dev, otherwise why bother when you get it for free anyhow? Those I support do not have their game pirated within a day. I bet many on this site do what I do and have a scale that balances desire to support vs time it is pirated.

Yeah, how dare the Dev want to make money on his work! Can't blame him in the least. He is correct. I used to subscribe to him but stopped because it was always leaked fast on here. I'm sure many did the same. At least this way some will simply subscribe to get the release and then unsubscribe. What I dislike are those Devs that put a time frame on when you can download the game once you subscribe. Your theory rings hollow as well. I've read many a poster claim F95 is the reason games became popular. True, to a degree. It certainly generates interest, but the Dev cannot then expect no money for his/her efforts. If games are pirated onto the site within a day or two of release, then what incentive do the Dev's have? None. Do you go to work, try to do a good job in the hope of a promotion, but don't get paid?
Make what money? You think I am or will ever be a paying customer? I am here for free, as soon as something is not free, I move on to free. I was never a customer. If nothing is free, I will move on to something else that is free doesn't even need to be games. That's sort of the mistake devs make when they think they are losing money from piracy, they aren't because 100% of the time if someone is stealing something they were never going to buy it, and if they were... well then they buy it... or pay later when they can regardless.

DRM can be cracked like anything else so it really makes no difference, someone will always exist who will put in the effort to crack it so people like me can play it for free. If the developer wants to constantly put in effort to patch the crack and waste their life - as opposed to rely on free advertising by people loving their game and praising it when they do play it free - that's on the dev, all it does ultimately is create a bad reputation for them because they come across as greedy, controlling, narcissistic etc. despite the fact that people are entitled to earn money for work they do - the basic idea is to get that money from people who can afford to pay it.

I can play the game free someday, it can be 7 years from now doesn't matter to me. See you in 7 years. In other words you are not nor were you ever getting my money regardless of how good or bad the game was, and regardless of what you do. But I'll still be getting your game.

I agree with you! I also believe that supporting the developer should be voluntary! I also play for free because of the difficult situation with the war in Ukraine! I am Ukrainian myself: I have limited rights at the moment! The situation with earning money is especially difficult. And I do not have the opportunity to earn money so that I could spend money on supporting game developers. I am of course grateful to all the developers whose games I play for the opportunity to play for free. And this developer included. This game is my favorite, because it has my favorite characters Angelica-Erica-Doctor Vic. And I would like to play at least somehow, no matter from which pirate site I download and play at the moment. I have always been grateful to the developer for this opportunity and will continue to thank him.

I don't believe he is capable of "finishing" any path in any game. He has yet to do it, at all. Every storyline in this game still has a hanging tail as lumpy as an elephant migration....
Ouch! Man, I thought I was the one who slung around the metaphors! :ROFLMAO: He wrapped up Babysitter pretty well. Although the final endings for me were a little sketchy from a common sense pov they were, in fact, endings. As a consumer I hung my gold star on it when I reached the ends I played. I think what happened with this one is that he started down the path of 'patrons, since I can't do this without you, I will write all your personal input into this story' , and then started scripting off poll results. Sorry, but that's an analogy you hear so often now and it makes my skin crawl. His who knows how many patrons responded, he listened, and now the whole story fmpov sailed straight into the Bermuda Triangle; in fact so off-course it compelled a decision to rename it. Think about it. This entire project is pretty much at a clean point. It can go in virtually any direction from here. It's just going to be a completly different story than the way it started. IDK, maybe there are ulterior motives, maybe there's burn out, maybe there's a creative lock up, maybe this is just exactly the way it's intended to go, who knows. This is definitely a creative and talented developer. I really liked the story until it got bogged down with the career slave to the old prune path. But hey, it's T4bbo's game, not mine. It is what it is. I still like unren-ing and checking out the compelling artwork. I will offer up a "my bad for opening my mouth" in advance to T4bbo should he ever happen to see this. When I was young, working, writing, people with different ideas in my business would say critical shit about my work all the time, so I can just visualize him reading this with both middle fingers up at the computer screen, and I get it. Creators evolve. I did, we all did, and clearly they all still do. The way of things, and like it or not the way it needs to be. Babysitter made me a fan. This one, not a favorite, but I'll absolutely watch his future work with great interest.

Oh, and incidentally, who the fuck is watching the baby? Do Lara or the MC even remember they have one?

next update is without Tony cause supporters decided so , what you are saying is not correct
Bruh, that's only because the Dev didn't have anything planned for him finally. And we were going to get some time away from that old decrepit fucker for one update. But he still felt the need to check with his discord though to see if that would be okay. And it only won by ONE FUCKING VOTE!

Imagine deciding the content of your game based on some 20 Patreon votes, when you have hundreds of silent fans.

Is this the fabled democracy they brainwashed us with?

What?

Imagine paying real money, then having the direction of the game decided by people that haven't spent one single cent.

If you want a say, put your hand in your pocket and cast your vote, it's as simple as that.

oh yes democracy is for those who take part of it the others can complian
What are you complaining about? What are these polls about choosing what content to do with a character?! I think it's just a ridiculous, unnecessary procedure! Why? Because the game would still have a balance of content in terms of the story between the characters. After all, I think it would be stupid to show the girls Angelica: Erica: Dr. Vic at the beginning of the game and then not give content with them throughout the game, but to constantly make content with Tony, which the Cuckold fans constantly want to see, I think it's complete stupidity. So all these social polls are complete nonsense, the balance of content was and will be. Otherwise, there would have been no need to show other characters in the game then, so that later content would only be made with Tony.
