Man, realy was looking forward the seeing this VN to completion. Wish some creator would pick up the torch....wishful thinking
If the Dev was to complete it, it would be a watered down vanilla version of the original. If I had to guess, like with any dictator (Patreon), once you bend the knee and give in to one demand they make more and more extreme demands. After he showed he'll change the tone of his updates, they likely demanded he change everything in the entire game so far. With the hate he got from doing a 180 with his updates, if he went and changed the entire game created to date, he would have lost everyone anyway. So he quit
He moved to SubStar after the Patreon fiasco, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting substantially less from there than Patreon.
If only he did that when Patreon first made their demands. He would have had a following (myself included)...Maybe not as much as he had with Patreon, but it could've been salvageable. But he shot himself in both feet, then both knees with the updates he put out trying to appease Patreon. Oh well, it is what it is.
