Can't access Exhentai, does anyone here have a similar issue?

I don't know why they enjoy locking the fucking website so damn tight, it genuinely pisses me off that doing the things that people have repeated thousands of times doesn't do jack shit, also what the fuck is exxx.ml, it sometimes just redirects me there

I used a VPN set to US region to create an account, checked back on the account 2 weeks later using the same VPN and region, but to no avail. I think i'll use TOR to create an account and wait for a week or so to see if it works,

Damn what a shame I was also about to try this...
Maybe they also blocked the IP addresses of some commonly used VPN nodes. I think the only methods at this point is to use someone else's account with access or literally travel to non-IP blocked countries.

Found a method that worked for me.

1. Download, install and open Tor
2. Log in to your E-hentai. It may ask you to do a captcha. if the captcha fails to load, close the browser or click new identity
3. Open Exhentai and pray it works
4. If it doesn't, click the new identity button on the upper right corner and repeat from step 2

Did it last night and got in on my first try, but it seems it doesn't always work immediately because the following morning I spent three hours of repeating the process until I got in. So you might have to do multiple tries before you get in.

I think I found a workaround on the log-in process in Tor. Turns out, the reason why you have to log-in multiple times is because the exit node (think the country you're disguised as) changes randomly every time you enter a website. And as we know, Ex has banned a lot of country IP's.

To deal with this you need to set a specific exit node as the default. Specifically a country that Ex doesn't block

1. Go to \Desktop\Tor Browser\Browser\TorBrowser\Data\Tor\torrc (this changes depending on where tor is installed)
2. Open torrc with notepad
3. Copy and paste "ExitNodes {us} StrictNodes 1" at the bottom
4. Save and exit

Now your exit node should always be set as United States where Ex isn't blocked. Other countries might work but the US is the only one that works for me at the moment. To check if it is set to the US just click the padlock beside the url. The exit node is the country in the bottom end of the Tor Circuit.

Now follow the standard steps of logging in to E-hentai before opening Ex and the website should display correctly. Hope this helps.

Hmm.... I assume you will need to register a new account using a new email then. What email do you use? I don't think I can use Gmail for an Exhen account....

I don't think a new account is needed though. My account uses gmail and is already several months old before entering Ex for the first time the other day.

Edit: Someone handed me a month-old account and asked me to see if I can log it in on my tor with my settings. It didn't enter for some reason so there might be a few details affecting the log-in process that we haven't figured out.

New accounts must wait 1 week until they're "activated" and able to enter ExHentai. During this time, you can try different things on the site to prove you're not a bot, such as:

- Post a gallery
- Write a comment
- Add some favorites
- Make a new thread
- Play HentaiVerse

This is not confirmed to be true, but it's worth a try

4. After a week, log in to E-Hentai
Do the login process through Tor, exit node set to US at all times... You already know. Your account must've been activated by that time, but I suggest waiting one day or two (just to make sure).

5. Open ExHentai
Since Tor doesn't save cookies, you don't need to edit them. Just open a new tab and go to ExHentai,org. If what butek and CoomerBoomer said it's true, then you should be able to access it.

I'll update this comment if anything works, but now it's time to wait.

Tor is blocked from many sites, like Youtube. When you try to enter, their systems will detect unusual traffic and block the access. This can be avoided by using Tor bridges, but I haven't experienced with that yet.

ExHentai / E-Hentai could also block Tor in the future, so I suggest to make an account NOW before it happens.

So can you open that account in normal browser by copying the Igneous string?
