Extract the files to a new folder, don't try to override an older installation.
Start a new game.
If your download is corrupted, try to download from a different source, eg Pixeldrain.

Gentlemen, I downloaded the game last night and started playing the latest version. Not only does it ask you at the beginning if you want to "customize" the relationships, it also provides an option on the preferences screen to change them in-game. IMO the game would be pretty boring w/o this option. Adding this feature will let Dotty Diaries promote the game on other platforms, receive more support and hopefully produce even better games.

I haven't played it yet just curious how does it drop it? Is it more than them using their names instead of mom or whatever cause that doesn't bother me at all. I mean I'm not playing this one for that but the original did have it when I played before the rework so more a curiosity.

But the incest is there, if the later dialogues have changed significantly then it may sound awkward but still good for incest lovers. I mean it's hard to find an actual incest these days.

I took the bait and downloaded, but even setting the relationship to family, there's a disconnect on the dialog. It doesn't feel like the mc grew up with them and not to mention the sisters call the mother by name, totally immersion breaking.

This is one of the games where mc has a huge magical dick and all the girls who see or touch it fall in love with him. Unfortunately there is no tag for this type of games yet, otherwise the tag "huge magical dick protagonist" would directly tell you that this is not a femdom game.

I usually also check some Reviews before I decide to download, eg

Don't switch between past and present tense.

Example (ch.3) :

I think I said something pretty similar. Someone needs to rewrite. The story itself is pretty good though. A so so incest with good story is actually great and when compared to very fluent animation, it would probably rank among the top 3 incest themed vn this year.

I usually compare incest games with Big Brother (BB) and similar newer sandbox games.

Main difference between incest games and other porn games is usually that true incest games spend most of their resources on taboo discussions why the characters in the game should not have sex while other porn games completely lack these taboo discussions and feature more sex. It is difficult to write and implement taboo discussions if it is not known upfront which custom relationships (kinships) the main characters will have. One option would be to expand custom relationships to include a taboo flag for each character which if set would trigger a generic taboo discussion before sex.

I really liked this game. The story was interesting. It's been a while since I really read the whole VN without skipping to the lewd scenes.
I would like to see more scenes where the MC is having sex with more than one woman.
The models are really pleasant to look at. I especially like the asses. Would love to see more scenes where they walk in thongs around the house and start to be naughtier around the MC.

if i use URM to swap the names with just mom or dad how many people in the game are going to be calling them mom and dad and will it break the immersion there as well? How much new content is in this compared to 0.8?

Edit: I went and DL'd both versions and 1.0 is a whole 1.1 gigs bigger...that's quite a bit. Maybe I'll play 0.8 up til it ends and suck it up for the finale...
