FYI - The game now has custom relations and seems closer to the original story where he lived with them before. Direct references to fiancé and the girls barely knowing Richard and other such things are seemingly gone. (Although for some odd reason now the girls are calling Diane by name instead of Mom... So that will seemingly need patched, but that's a much smaller annoyance than the formerly changed plot dynamic . )

eh that works for me "mom" and using their real name is the same difference to me since I usually call my parents by their real name in real life anyways more often than mom or dad. but being able to set the relations is good sounds like we won't need a patch then

I am back I was working till late yesterday to launch the Carnal Contract on STEAM and release it here as well, but now I am back with some news.

Carnal Contract - Dev report
This was our first game, on which we were working long time ago, but now its completed and out on Steam.

With this update, the game get 1000+ new renders, a few new LEWD scenes and different ending/beginning.

I believe Carnal Contract offers a truly unique story. An ancient Greek game is back, and you’ve been drawn into it. Through scenes and research, you’ll uncover more and more about its secrets. If you enjoy mythology and history, this will be interesting and fun for you.

At the same time, the girls around you will face their own struggles and it’s up to you to be their hero.

Keep in mind, Carnal Contract doesn’t follow just one path. You can explore different options, build stronger bonds with one of the love interests, or take new directions entirely. While the ending ties back to the main story, your journey there will feel different depending on the choices you make. So I do recommend to try other paths and choose other love interest.

The game is now officially finished and complete. I already have a scenario for Season 2 (it will happen on new location, Crete in Greece, but whether it becomes reality depends entirely on how well the game does on Steam. Without enough support, I won’t have the time or resources to make it happen.

In other words the reworked version will not make sense since the initial story is incest about the mom and sisters.

Well its about the game and how out of control it turns out to be.....the incest is just the extra spice to it. The only difference is now you're being forced to complete challenges with people you aren't blood related to. Thats not a huge leap since none of it is real anyways.

In short, incest is very poorly implemented, so if that's your main interest, you'll be disappointed.

You can change relationships, but that doesn't change much, everyone acts like they're not family, and the girls call their mom and dad by their names. Also, not such a big spoiler, but when the father dies, the “daughters” aren't sad at all and say, “How hard this must be for MC”, but they ok with it? it's said that the father was never around, but for some reason his death is difficult for MC, while the 'daughters' don't give a shit, and other details that destroy the whole incestuousness.

Yeah noticed it too after playing for a few minutes.
Unless someone makes a proper incest patch with dialog changes and all, it's an awful experience in terms of incest.

this is one of those game devs that kind of ticked me off. in the middle of around version 0.7 or so for no apparent reason i could see they decided to redo the entire game under some new engine (why?! no clue! it was fuckin awesome as it was!) and after that update to some rework they did the WT mod that was made for it at first didnt work anymore and the wt mod dev said fuck it and dropped it. and then this dev pretty vanished and abandoned this game. i ended up dropping it because of that entire scenario. still debating if i should even bother with this shit. the new pic's i've seen look like the art for the main protag was somewhat redone and "resized" >.> and if true i just won't even bother with this trash game. the story was decent and the characters fine before the rework. everything went downhill after that.

The game before rework - Carnal Contract v0.8 - is still available in the OP. If you don't like the rework, stick with v0.8 which afaIk had a more consistent story and incest compared to the rework (at least in v0.9)

You must be confused, the game had no new engine, v0.9 had an ending and all...also KoGa3 made clear why he stopped the mod, it was the branching paths. The game has a WT you can enable via settings as it comes with its own bundled.

Never, ever in my entire life have I seen children call their parents by their names, even those who have a bad relationship. I don't deny that such things exist, but it's not common thing. Moreover, it's a game, and it's not what some people come here for when they see the incest tag.

Isn't this the STEAM version? AfaIk STEAM does not support incest ...

On the other side it's ren'py, so you are free to adjust the script to match your own "incest" preferences.

In some societies/classes in last centuries relations between children and parents or spouses were so formal that some were not even on first name terms.

Dude, chill out. First of all, we're not in those times, and neither is the game, and there is no such community there either.
And besides, this was the case in some countries/communities, but in the vast majority of the world, people everywhere addressed their parents by their relationship. The words “mama” and “papa” in almost all languages mean the same, because these are the first sounds that a person learns to say.

Anyway, I don't see the point in arguing. You're happy with everything in the game — I'm glad for you. Someone asked about incest in the game, I answered as it is, and later he confirmed my words.
