Ugh yeah... I missed that the line was repeated in two different chapters by different character. Fixed it to be conditioned on who is saying it. Let me know if you run into any others.
You still need to use the game's built-in relationship changer in the settings menu. The mod uses the same relationship variable for what the girls call Diane as what you set for the MC to call her.

Hi guys, any of you been playing the Steam version? There's a relationship change option there but looks like it's not working and always reset to default, as in calling everyone by their names. Also, the in-game walkthrough is not working.
At the moment it’s not working as it should.
Our last update introduced a small mistake that causes the game to restart that option to disabled whenever you open the preferences screen.
I have already fixed the issue, but I am currently having some problems with steam to release an update (we are unable to push an update for more than 5 hours already).
The fix will be live as soon as Steam allows me to push it.

I play have done this game in s1.It is excellent sexy game.we can fell the author is hard work put in this game.Especial in Dane and Cassandra two role. Unfortunately, you can’t. You can only choose one of them per playthrough. At least in the official version.

When you first step into Carnal Contract, it might feel like pure fantasy — a seductive game where the main character is trapped, forced to complete lust-filled challenges delivered straight to his phone. But behind every forbidden temptation lies something far older than imagination.
This story was born from an ancient civilization
Over 3,000 years ago, the Minoans of Crete ruled the seas of the Aegean. They built palaces of impossible size, filled with frescoes of bulls, rituals, and goddesses. Their language, Linear A, remains undeciphered — a mystery frozen in clay. We do not know their true myths. We do not know their gods. All we know is what came after.
When the Minoans disappeared, the later Greeks told stories to explain their ruins. They spoke of King Minos, son of Zeus and Europa, who demanded tribute from Athens. Of his cursed queen Pasiphaë, whose unnatural desire birthed the monstrous Minotaur. And of the Labyrinth — a maze so vast and inescapable that no man could survive it without divine help.
In those myths, young men and women were sent inside labyrinth as sacrifices. Some say they died. Others say they were forced into taboo ceremonies in front of the beast.
But what if the story never truly ended?
In Carnal Contract, we imagine a world where the cult of Minos never vanished. Where the “Minions of Crete” preserved their forbidden games in secret, passing them through generations. Their labyrinth has changed shape — no longer a palace of stone, but a web of control, power, and lust. Their monster no longer wears horns, but hides in the shadows of desire.

The i-patch isn't working for me.
Here is the step-by-step process of me downloading the patch and still not getting results:
I open up the browser tab ---> save-as ---> computer saves the .txt file as 5265352_CarnalContract_S1_ENHANCED_iPatch_v1.02.rpy ---> I move the file to the game folder ---> Once I do that, I start the game ---> The main menu pops up ---> I select New Game ---> I go through the intro ---> I noticed that my character still calls Diane by her name ---> I go to settings and select change relationships ---> I go through the process of changing their relationships ---> I start another new game ---> MC now refers to Diane as mom, but it is not capitalized correctly, and she still does that "sweetheart" thing in the intro ---> I go through a little bit more and the sisters call Diane by her name.
So I'm a little confused as to what I did wrong. Please let me know if at any point where I messed up.

Yeah, that was like that in my case too. So needs manually triggered somehow.
Start a new game or try in your old save, just be in a loaded game or newly started (so not outside in the main menu) and then do these:
ESC > go to in-game Preferences > Custom relations | Enabled (disable if enabled then enable again to get the prompt and there add it brother, sister etc see list under here, after that works). Will be saved to the persistent save file (that's an extra file in save game folder that stays even if you delete all saves in-game, unless manually delete it in a file explorer). So after you set this, and start a new game, will be applied from start, it's like a system settings. Should work in older saves too.
In case you don't know what to type into prompt, here is my list (first word is original, second to be changed into):
[both Nicole & Becky] "roomie" > brother, "housemate" > sister,
[Diane] "tenant" > son, "landlady" > mom
P.S. In case still not working, scroll up on this page 71, there's a post by the saying dev that this feature is currently broken and resets. In my case worked, I played on version s1-v1-01 but then it's true that I did not go into Preferences after I set the relations, so did not trigger the bug. So AVOID clicking on Preferences and if you do, set them again as I explained here. This is a workaround until a permanent fix. Should not be big deal, Preferences are set early on, no need to change them after.
