Carnal Instinct is a reverse of Wild Life game. Wild Life developers focus on sex scenes and porn in general. Their game is by far the best at that.
Carnal Instinct team focuses on everything except sex scenes. Mediocre animations, no view control, no progress in the last steam update. It seems like they are avoiding it.
Apparently targeted for different audience.

they are actually currently reworking the scene mechanics, to include things like free camera
currently the core mechanics are bigger focus than sex, which I suppose pleases people less short term but makes for a better game in the long term

Yep. I went looking through the comments to see if anyone else felt this way. I just played for the first time in a year to see how things have progressed. Lots of new content but the whole sex system is pretty bare bones basic: just some static animations you progress through. When it's that basic, if you're just in it for the porn you may as well just watch the videos posted somewhere.
Hopefully that rework mentioned in another reply delivers.

I personally prefer the way this is developing as compared to Wild Life. It's one thing if you're playing these games for sex scenes and sex scenes only, but I think this is pretty fun as far as Unreal porn games go. Wild Life has been around since like 2017? And besides sex scenes (which granted are really good and there are a ton of them) it seems like they create a new demo area every year and that's about it. Though a bit rough, this has quests, combat, fun customization, early base mechanics, and an interesting (imo) environment to explore among other mechanics. Based on prior development and the roadmap it seems like this will only improve as well. I'm pretty sure they are working on a free camera for the sex scenes too if I remember right?

Plus it has full snake nagas, complete with sssnake ssspeak voice acting as a bonus. I can't think of any other 3D game that has those, only a few 2d games at best. Hope they do a bit more with them, they're great (though IMO the slit region could use a bit more work as far as the 3d model goes, it looks a little odd). Wonder if they'll ever have them move around? I bet the movement animations would be a real bitch to get working, lol.

Soooo, just as I was thinking this is looking mighty fine my GPU driver crashed in my face. Fuck I hate you AMD so much. Seems other people have this issue with it making the videocard unresponsive after a few minutes of gameplay, especially in cutscenes. The dev admited not having a clue about this.
I'm tentatively asking here if anyone's had this but I figure not.
God I miss being on nvidia hardware.
Edit: Mmm, Only see one person reporting this issue and they were just given a generic fix. Should point out that I can run much more demanding stuff including VR without issue, this is a 1670 it shouldn't be dying on this porn game. (Subverse and Wildlife run fine, even in VR)

Did they change the sex scene controls at some point? I'm looking at other screenshots that show you able to adjust the speed, and mentions of "outros" while the only option I have on screen is "Leave" which just exits it immediately dead stop without any climax or whatever, there's no "next" button.
