Nope. UE5 is not worthy to call it a demo version coz it is empty, while UE4 is quite full of mechanics and characters. Is it worth changing to the UE5 version yet ?

You have a very strange understanding of the word "empty", it would seem.Nope. UE5 is not worthy to call it a demo version coz it is empty, while UE4 is quite full of mechanics and characters.
And what exactly is happening in the region these days? Beside 4-6 points of interest with NPCs I mean. Usual 2,5 sand ghouls I suppose? Some random invisible people passing by? Or maybe interesting non-existing events? You have a very strange understanding of the word "empty", it would seem.
At this point, UE4 and UE5 have a directly comparable volume of content in terms of sex scenes, quests, and NPCs, but not forms, character customization, or items/equipment.And what exactly is happening in the region these days? WUT?!At this point, UE4 and UE5 have a directly comparable volume of content in terms of sex scenes, quests, and NPC
No, it's comparable like so:WUT?!
Oh, wait, I understand. Yes, it is definitely comparable. Like "2" and "32" is comparable. 2 is still 16 times less though, but still comparable, yup.
Where exactly they are hiding then? UE4 has small city full of people, several enemy camps with trapped NPS who can be recruited to player base, where enslaved boss can be held. There is even dragon encounter with several possible outcomes. Some random npc's roaming on the roads and there is even blind and deaf guards, happily ignoring all the bandits. No, it's comparable like so:
- Sex Scenes: UE4 has 27, UE5 has 23
- Quests: UE4 has 15, UE5 has 20
- NPCs: UE4 has 61 non-generic characters, UE5 has 55
If you really want to go that route, UE4's quests are also exceptionally bad. Multiple quests that have you running across the entire game map for an item or two, several quests that involve just talking to an NPC and/or paying out some cash, and the main progression quest was so poorly designed in terms of informing players what to do that we have pages and pages of people in this thread asking how you're supposed to kill the boss or enter the dungeon or find the quest items.Aham
Like 52 quests bring me whatever or kill whatever
And 3 quest for killing buggy priestess
lol. lmao even. UE4 was in active development and support from 2014 to 2022. Every major version of unreal engine has taken longer to replace then the last. Extrapolating from prior versions puts UE6 in 2030 or so and UE7 some point near 2040.Until this game is finished probably UE6 will come out. Or even UE7
And then new migration and milking till end of time, when Anubis will come and say "Thats enough"
Some of them are in the new version that isn't available on this thread, but aside from that they're all across the world you claim is empty. Also, UE5 has a higher ratio of characters with more than just one throwaway scene, especially when it comes to the two characters you can currently romance.Where exactly they are hiding then? In UE 5 there is a tavern with 2 people, broken bridge with fucking(literally) cats (how thw fuck they even got there?!), a camp with some 5 or 6 runaways, few places with 1-2 inhabitant and few halfbroken quests involving 1 fucking person. With big piles of waste loneliness in between.
Even weapons have a common model with textures made in 30 minutes.
Sorry I fail to see how is this comparable.
Lol. Shilling was never so good. Some of them are in the new version that isn't available on this thread,
lol. Now you're just moving the goalposts. I have access to the latest version of the game, and I am using the wiki (which has been updated to have that version's content) for data. That content doesn't stop existing just because you don't have it, and it will exist on Steam (and by extension this thread) within a few weeks.Lol. Shilling was never so good.
This game is amazing! Sadly, you can't see it.
Nice one.
And I am talking about what I can play, isn't it obvious? How can I analyze something I can't play? When update comes, I'll try it and will see for myself.lol. Now you're just moving the goalposts. It's obvious that you were talking about Carnal Instinct, as was I. But neither of us stated what versions we were talking about. Considering the frequency with which I copy subscriber-only info (such as the paywalled news posts) into this thread, I thought it might be obvious that I would be talking about the latest version of the game. And I am talking about what I can play, isn't it obvious? If you want to continue this talk then, you're welcome. But for now my point stands.
He's not wrong though, time window for UE6 release is more like 2026-2030. The game WON'T be out by that time window, nowhere near it at the current speed and knowing the devs like upgrading the engine everytime they get the chance, you can bet they'll use the UE6 coming out as an excuse to scrap the game and start over to milk as much as possible.Extrapolating from prior versions puts UE6 in 2030
Ehhh, I'm not recommending the game specifically. I'm just taking exception to people blatantly misrepresenting it. I'm very open on my opinion of their abilities as devs, especially how little work they put into QA and how little skill they have with programming and mechanical design. You can simp as much as you want (no offense) but the game won't ever be completed.

But it seems we both assumed.
Btw, I wasn't trying to be an asshole here. You've been around this thread for a good bit and most of the time it just felt like you were defending them so much, it did come out as a little simpy.Ehhh, I'm not recommending the game specifically. They're very good at "pretty" by some usages of the word, and they're definitely creating something that is more of a "game" than the vast majority of content available on this forum. But they have an abysmal lack of critical skills and it's been hurting this game for a long, long time.
Ptoblem is not within engine. Problem is inside devs heads. UE5 does not present any super kits required for this game. Instead by changing engine they got instantly cut off from hundreds of tweaks and solutions made for known UE4 issues through years. All those how to's and make feature_name easy - now inaccessible. And they got that fucking performance issues. So if they try to change engine one more time - it means the are braindead milkers and shouldnt be trusted at all. He's not wrong though, time window for UE6 release is more like 2026-2030. The next update (supposedly mid-october) coming is STILL a pre-alpha build. From that March 2023 announcement, we should already be in beta phase, it's not the case.
At that point it's a given the devs are voluntarily slowing down the dev process.
You can simp as much as you want (no offense) but the game won't ever be completed.
Yeah, I can see that. I do tend to get more persnickety than I should about how things are said rather than the evident intent behind them.Btw, I wasn't trying to be an asshole here. You've been around this thread for a good bit and most of the time it just felt like you were defending them so much, it did come out as a little simpy.
LOL Current supporter discussing a project with former supporters on a third patry site. Quite hilarious, isn't it? Can be screened to wipe some shills faces when they start singing their favorite "you're nasty pirates here, so shut up" song next time)Btw, I wasn't trying to be an asshole here. You've made your point clear and I appreciate that. Gives me a better understanding of your view on all of this.
I'm just personally mad at them probably because I'm a customer who bought the UE4 version and didn't want all of this UE5 bs.
