6 month wait for 2 cocks, some spells (3), a couple of quests (2), and a non repeatable scene.

I fucking hate the Patreon Milking with these types of games...
Seeing more patreon financed games especially delta zone one can consider this game divine. It's one of the best if not the best porn game on the market right now, and it looks like an actual game and not a bunch of market assets duct-taped like said delta zone. Ofc they could do more, but tbh projects like that tend to be more tedious in maintance as they grow. But in comparison to most porn games, especially ones that try to be anything else then just a montage of porn clips it's good. And people tend to forget how hard gamedev is. Also this game looks very good, both in graphics, character models, animations and UI.

Like they normally do. The "Abandoned" tag is supposed to be applied after a longer period of inactivity than normal. For a game that updates weekly, that could be as short as a month. For a game that updates yearly, that could take up to six months beyond the norm. This game updates quarterly, but has been as much as a full quarter late on multiple occasions.

The tag does not and did not belong on this game, and the timing of it getting applied (literally two days before the explicitly and publicly set release date of the next update) was hilariously bad.
If someone does smthn stupid on a regular basis, doesn't make it any less stupid. It is not about tags.

In this case it is about the tags. The abandoned tag is for abandoned projects, thus the name. It's not the "these developers update slowly" tag, or the "these developers have inconsistent scheduling" tag. It's for cases where a project has gone well overdue and appears to be abandoned.

Applying it after we already have an explicitly set date for the next update, while still well within the waiting periods this project has historically had, is straight-up lying to players of the game. And keeping it after the update has come out and is available, just because a cracked version isn't available here? That's just spiteful.

Edit: For context, these are the explicit rules for the Abandoned tag:
  • Abandoned: used in the following cases:
    • The developer states that the development has been permanently suspended.
    • After 3 months of inactivity from the developer's public creator/crowdfunding accounts (Patreon, SS, etc), we will resolve special circumstances or scenarios on a case-by-case basis (no creator accounts, creators developing for free, Patreon accounts under review/ban).
    • No game update has been released for an abnormally long period of time (>18 months).
    • Game threads that are marked On-hold for over 6 months with no game update.
    • Note: this prefix is only removed upon the release of a new update for purchase/download.
Now let's get the easy ones out of the way:

The developer has not explicitly announced the game is abandoned. At the time the tag was applied, the prior update was a bit shy of four months old. This game thread has never been marked on hold. As of this moment, the latest update released after the tag was added, at which point it should have been removed even if the thread itself isn't updated.

The only rule it could have been applied to is the three months of inactivity on the crowdfunding accounts, since prior to the latest update the last post on their Patreon/SubStar was on December 21st. But that is supposed to be done with consideration for the game's history in mind. Simple things, like checking the game thread to see that an explicit release date for an incoming update was already known and was set to literally two days from when the review was done, should have been a red flag to investigate further.

And now that the promised update dropped, exactly when they said it would? Moderators refuse to remove the tag until the game thread is updated, despite the rules explicitly stating that the prefix should be removed "upon the release of a new update for purchase/download."

You nailed it.

Perhaps they are prejudiced? But why...

They probably don't understand the situation (and rules). They're used to the update appearing here, so OP update + removed prefix. But in the case of CI, we have "taboo" Patreon builds that we don't actually have, which puts us in a strange situation.. but technically the update is out. Some rules should be more clarified.

It's not just that Patreon builds are taboo, it's also that you're not allowed to request game updates for games that require cracking the way Patreon builds of Carnal Instinct do. Those requests get rejected as soon as someone realizes DRM is in play. Instead, you have to post something on the Cracking requests subforum and hope someone is willing to pop open an unreal editor in order to tear this project down and replace the pre-menu validation check it has.

So the options are:
  • Wait a few weeks for the next Steam build
  • Sacrifice your own Patreon account or find a way to circumvent the protections yourself, and share the build here directly
  • Request someone crack the game in the appropriate section of the forum
Edit: TBH, someone should probably pop a request into the cracking forum anyway, if only to get the UE4 links on this thread cleaned up. Maybe access to the ultimatus cock variant would help people chill.

Why are so many "devs" so slow? Most of the time, the answer is pretty simple: Patreon.
And the logic behind it is just as straightforward:
  • Keep games in perpetual development = Patreon money keeps rolling in every month through subscriptions.
  • Finish and release the game = Patreon money dries up after a one-time purchase or a single month's support.

WL is barely even a game at this point, it’s essentially just a sandbox. The actual "game" part still barely exists, even after nearly 8 years of development. In comparison, CI is miles ahead when it comes to offering a real gameplay experience.
Yes, but... I don't know... it's really a very strange situation with the way the game is being handled. Every time they release a build, I feel like they're not really adding a lot of content. And I understand that, yes, every game has a process behind the scenes, and even more so if we're talking about an "open world" that they want to implement, as we saw in UE4. However, I feel like even in UE4 they had a lot more progress. In short, I have the feeling that they have builds already ready, but they obviously release them to extract those from Patreon, lol

Oh, I can tell you why there's such a big difference between how fast they could push content in the early UE4 stuff versus now:
  • They kept adding quick re-skins as new forms. Typically one or two per update.
  • A big chunk of the "different" cocks have the same problem: just quick retexturing of other models
  • They did the same thing with a bunch of the armor, especially early on where half of the armor was six different colors of the exact same cloth wraps
  • For quite a while there were no weapon variants, no crafting system, etc. Just a few quick drops and not even a restocking vendor.
  • A bunch of the dialogue for quests and NPCs were defaulted to "coming soon" previews that they never implemented
  • They launched with no dungeons and only added new ones once in a blue moon
  • Pretty much the same for quests.
  • Most of the NPCs were generic nobodies with only one or two lines of dialogue, if even that
  • The sex scenes were one or two animations with fixed camera angles, rather than the complex dozen-variant system that their new sex scenes use.
In short, the entire reason UE4 got built up so fast is that every two weeks they pushed a bunch of little nothings and maybe if they had time, a new piece of a quest.

Some people want "all-in-one" pack (and break the curse of bad porn games) gameplay, story and content as a reward., no more compromises. In the end, even with normal commercial games you can say... Why? A lot of games provoke with pretty women, sexy clothes..but that's it.
Why did Lara Croft's breasts keep getting bigger with each game and finally they added boob jiggle...and you end up blue balled. Not fair.:D

Obviously, people want porn in their porn games, but if it is only porn, it's just a glorified gallery simulator with a different coat of paint, and people won't pay for the admission fee for something as simple as that. If it's only a game with provocative elements, it only serves to provoke with the added benefit of T 'n A and that's it. Naturally, people want a good balance of both to have the challenge and the reward be satisfactory. Maybe add in a gallery with unlock conditions so it isn't one and done once you unlock it but cannot play it back in the main game. In this scenario, some quests that amount to a unique sex event. With that previous point however, it's the opposite desired effect; you have to effectively save scum and know in advance what scene will do what to not miss it, otherwise there is no way to play it back. No gallery for easy access either, so you're fucked.

Putting that aside, I do like the fact that sex scenes are tied to the locales and people, rather than have NPC 1 fuck/get fucked by NPC 2, gives it that roleplay edge that I dig to immerse yourself in the world/setting, something this game wants to emphasize that I have not felt other games do until this one. Once we do get the gallery/void/whatever you wanna call it, that aspect could be rendered moot since it's inconvenient otherwise, but it can still remain to some for that extra edge. Plus, the textures, models, and animations are top notch. It's hard not to like this, honestly. Too bad they limit your camera options, and the clipping is still an issue to the larger bodies, but eh.

Can you use an old version save file when a new game version will come out ? ( UE5)

Or do you have to restart from the beginning everytime a new build comes out?

Mistake by F95 side i guess, since the game's Devs announced on Discord that we'd have a delay due to IRL stuff
It's been detailed several times over the last few pages, but yeah. The tag doesn't belong on the thread and was added after we had an explicit release date, two days before said date. And now they refuse to remove it even though the game has updated twice since adding said tag.
