To fix this problem delete all saves and start a game from scratch. That will fix it.By the way, it fails for me at the end. In the last missions it usually happens that I can't talk to the NPC who gives the mission. At least I know that development is happening. It's not like Wild Life, which has been around for years and is still in the same place. I left their Patreon because of that poor progress.

Visit the Shrine in the north of the central island and communicate with it.
You can customize pretty much everything: your species, race, sex, hair, facial features, genitals, and so on.
Note: if you maximize the butt size it will reset to default value every time you restart (reload) the game. The developers hate big asses!
Simply put. At this point, UE5 version is still more for testing than normal gameplay. Lots of annoying an fatal bugs, broken saves.. However, the project is interesting.

does the UE5 version have sex scenes? I've played the UE4 version and it wasn't long before I encountered sex scenes, in the UE5 version I have more or less put in the same amount of playtime as I did the UE4 and haven't seen a single one. It's just a lot of walking
Yes, there are. Not many, but there are some and (esp. when the camera is movable around) they are good.
But they are not lying around on the street and are integrated in story/quests. Personally, I like that way better than just running 50 meters and finding some random tentacle stuff like in the UE4 version.

Maybe because you have some expectations - "It will be the same game, just worse graphics before remake" but no..it's a different game. But if you give it a chance, you can enjoy more content without much effort. Unfortunately, in the end you will be angry because it goes nowhere and it is abandoned. And not everything is random, the better scenes are part of quests.
(How can you even give advice if you haven't played it.)

Making two different versions of the same game doesn't make sense.
Ah, that. Storytelling is okay, but apparently people are annoyed that they have to be more patient and wait for some content to arrive.
Both versions have their charm.

I mean they are still making versions of ue4 in patreon so its not dead? From what I know. Idk about steam though
