You can't buy a slave, you can only put him in a cage.

Does that mean for Shipwrecked i need to restart the quest? Because I did get the boat and get the weapons. In a walkthrough I saw that the priestess was praying but in my playthrough she's just at the middle of the area.

If you have the weapons too you might be able to talk to the warrior captain to progress the quest. If that doesn't work you can go kill the monster instead. It's in a tomb built into a cliff to the east of the anubites.

Even if you have enough presence and haggle the price of the Aadi mount is still 500 gold. You don't really need to worry about that quest right away. You get unlimited free trial use so just come back later when you have the gold. Also there's a consumable that temporarily boosts presence so you probably don't have to put points in it unless you really want to. I forget the name but it's the purple jug. You can find them as loot or buy them from some merchants.

Edit: be sure to sell off any duplicate equipment you find to merchants. You can get a lot of gold that way.

Depends on who you want to play as in that scenario. If you make your character a human female there are plenty of furry males to bang.

I had killed the monster and found the boats and weapons but no dice on talking to the priestess and no progress from talking to the captain either.

Right on the main page under the downloads you can download the save.. it's at the start but you have max all currencies and exp

I'm curious, is there any meaningful way to spend gold in this game?

I get craploads of weapons, armor, and clothes by looting the enemies and checking the loot boxes.

I sell everything to vendors, I have well over 30k gold nubs, yet there is nothing worth buying in the stores.

its still sucks where you could get a scene but just because you dont have the right genenital by the time you do the quest. you can and when you go and NEED to teleport back to the shrine to change the people is gone and .. well too bad for you ! ahaha -_-. the always need to teleporting to change sucks and change to female to male and still have the female voice is weird

You don't need to teleport for that.
If you have the Korvoth's scepter, you can use it anytime, anywhere to open the menu for changing cosmetics & genitals on the go.

once you have the shrine unlocked talk to the woman about teleporting then she'll send you on a quest to climb a hill to get the scepter that allows you to swap on the go
