The dev completely changed the primary context/draw of the game and removed the mom element from it which was the main appeal. He COULD have kept it the same and just slightly tweaked the context to patreon wouldn't get on him for incest, but he totally changed the premise and tone and dynamic of the relationship with the cartel boss (female lead) which upset a lot of the people who liked the game.
