that doesn't make much sense, i thought he had someone in valve that was willing to work with him to set things right...
he may not want to do it again but i hope he tries again at some point after he's recovered
He won't try again. Yes, he had contacted steam and they agreed in some form to see what the "remake" was. They didn't aprove it, and that's the end of it. The exact reason is unknown. He didn't write it on the fanbox post nor I want to talk about it with him since I know it's a burden.

On the other hand. Poring has been feeling better and is working once again on the chapel. He was finishing the loli nun animations and we will probably have a progress report soon.

The censorship is, by far, more the act of the financial services, than a willing of steam/patreon/.. to censors game.

Steam, like many porn website (pornhub, sexlikereal.. ) had to put some censors /restriction to be still being able to allow payment by VISA, Mastercard, Paypal...

After all porn transaction is only a little bit above terrorism funding for some of these provider...

Progress report(20220520)

Haven't seen for a while, and I'm sorry that a lot of things happened at the beginning of this month.
It can be a little frustrating when something bad happens one after another.
But my health is generally recovering and I started to continue the progress of the game a few days ago.
I'm going to focus on completing the chapel stage, and as of now, there should be nothing else to deal with.

Let me use this article to report on the Steam situation, I think the next time I have to deal with steam is probably after the game is finished.
These days I have received a lot of questions, but those questions are difficult to answer briefly, so I'll explain what I know as best I can.

So far Steam has banned me twice.
The first time they banned my game because of content issues, and the latest time they banned my game because they found out I resubmitted the same game.

The above mentioned is the reason why steam banned my game, they will not be more detailed explanation on why ban.
So I know the situation is that my game should not be able to be released on steam.

Someone asked if it's okay for release the game with no adult content and use the patch to unlock adult content.
As far as I know, it's not possible because my game has been banned, so it doesn't matter if there are patches or not.

In addition, adult content with patch is actually a very bad method, this method will make the player acceptance become very low and greatly affect the game sales,
and the game producers need to spend a lot of time to modify the game content, time-consuming and ineffective.

Before steam officially opened adult games, it could only be release with patches, but now it's not so troublesome.
However, some agents still maintain the same way as before, so now there are still be some adult games that require patching.

There is another more important question: Why not change agents? Maybe other agents have a way to handle it.

This question is a bit difficult to answer, because I really do not have much information about this area, and I can do very limited choices.
First of all, the agent part of the more familiar adult game agents is in Japan.
But... They are doing a terrible job.
Yes, both in the game sales and the way to release the game, it's all very bad.
I have a friend who has taken his work to their agent, but the results are really bad, and also charged by the agent a lot of agency fees.
So I don't think they can help me to deal with the problem.

The agency that approached me about the game is a new one, but I've known them since before they were founded.
They are very good at game sales and release the game, which I have personally confirmed.
I also have another friend who got very good results through their agency.
This is the reason why I still haven't changed agents.

But this game was banned on the first submission, so I can only say that neither I nor the agent expected this to happen.
The agent did tell me that there were cases where other games were banned 6 times, but eventually they were successfully released.
I had to believe this and submitted it a second time, but it still ended up as a failure.
I think there are many flaws in the second submission, and I feel that the agent may not be clear about the details.

The agent only said to whether to submit other stages or change a new game, because the two submitted games are only contain the first stage.
I think if I want to try again may only try the last time, I really do not have much patience for steam.
As for when to try may have to wait a long time after, may also not try again.

I have another idea that after the game is finished, I will take out some of the material and reorganize it into a new game on Steam, which may have a higher chance of success than now.
But this approach will delete most of the content, and can only be regarded as a compensation for the loss of the ban.
I certainly don't want to put such a version of the game on Steam, but if they don't like my game, I'll have to do it.
But that's something I'll do only after the game is finished.
As for DLsite, I will definitely put up the full version.

To answer the last question: Why do I have to put my game on Steam?
Steam is the world's largest game sales platform, I think there is no reason for me not to do this.
Take my friend who is a game agent for a Taiwanese agent above as an example, his game has sold up to 6,000 sales on DLsite, which is actually very much.
However, he sold 40,000 copies in just over a month on Steam, which is not a comparable sales volume for DLsite.
Yes, Steam is so powerful.
This number is not other platforms can be compared to, not to mention the sales draw on Steam is also less than other platforms.

The above is the conclusion I came to after a few months of fighting with Steam, in short, I should not deal with Steam these days.
Now I will focus on making the game good.

Lastly, I'd like to thank all the sponsors, without you the game would have been over.
I'm sorry that I haven't been able to find anyone to work with me on the game, so I'm still working alone.
But I am sure I will finish this game.
I will try to find someone else to help me after the chapel is finished.

R U N !!!

So yeah, here is the monthly update. Things are running once again on the tracks of progression, Poring is feeling better and the chapel is getting closer and closer... We also got a sneak peek of the new art. Thanks to the support the castle keeps getting developed. Aside from Poring's thanks, I also want to thank all of you who support and keep track of this game.

I'll keep updating every bit of progress until the day this game is completed. Have a nice weekend fellow adventurers.

does Poring know about Itch.io? it's fo course nowhere the size of steam, but it still would be a gateway for more audience, and there shouldn't be any problems with getting the game there

He knows, we talked about other platforms aside from steam. For now he wants to focus on finishing the chapel. Who knows what the future will hold about the steam/other platform for selling the game.

after a quick search of the thread i wanna say this isn't known but it seems like the titjob gameover for the laboratory end boss doesn't loop properly? it ends on a really awkward smear frame that looks like it'll loop but just stops

similar thing for the mind control gameover too, not as sure though because it ends on a pretty natural resting frame but it could very easily loop and still look natural

Brick by brick, glass by glass, the chapel will rise...

Bit by bit, soon, the Chapel is upon us, and the girls inside will be ready for our boy hero & his dick. Looking forward to the next level, it's only a matter of time. ;)
