There's no hidden time limit, is there? The intoduction dialogue kinda hits at there being one.
I never followed development too closely, so may have missed dev introducing such a mechanic in one of the updates.

Edit: Lol. They never fixed the bug that despawns an item if you get damaged while holding it. And the typos in some stage 1 texts.
ha ha ha Nah, there's no time limit to worry about, but what you SHOULD be wary of is that you should be VERY MINDFUL to look for the true exit of the Inverted Mother Chapel, which requires you to, at the very least, have the cross key item that you can acquire from the Head Priestess before delving into said section. It'll make things tougher to get through due to those annoying lust-comprised obelisks, but it's the only way to make progress towards the true, "good ending" instead of the bad ending you receive by not encountering the True Head Priestess and enduring her assault, otherwise you'll simply reach the bad ending.

I don't really know what makes you think that?
No were in the game is that stated or even hinted at.
Which line specifically are you refering to?

That alone does not unlock it.
You need it to unlock the dressing/changing room in the inverted lounge to get the apocrypha.
Which you need to unlock this big ass sealing barrier where normally I think the confessional was located.
:) After unlocking that you can try the aids inducing jump quest section :) (imagine transparent flames in the emote eyes)
or go back to the rest area and dunk the cross in the fountain.

The games that don't tell you about the time limit, but actually are running on a hidden timer that gives you worse ending if you try to enjoy the game, have taught me to never trust anything and always doubt what the narration is telling me.

(I remember there was one game in particular that decided which ending you get depending purely on how fast you beat it. So the best strategy was ignoring literally everything and rushing to the ending in the fastest way possible. For the best ending you had to beat it in under an hour. I hated it.)

I know that the cross alone doesn't unlock it, that's why I mentioned the "make progress" part, i'm already well aware that the book key item is also needed

What are you talking about??
That sounds like a terrible concept!
Like why even put anything into the game?
It is counterproductive and just a distraction then.
It is just a wasted effort on the devs part and a waste of time and resources.
What are the names of these games?
Regardless let me reassure you there are only 2 endings (if we don't count the fake "Happy Ending" CGs) in the game.
1 for getting to the end of the inverted chapel and the other for getting the cross, than book, to unlock the secret boss.
So long as you collected all the (4) hidden Paradise Keys in each stage you can take on the final boss of the game and if you beat her you get the good ending.

...I totally agree though. Clear timers for entire games are bullshit.

-Mal
No clear times are ok for games to improve yourself like level based games (ex. Sonic) but for exploration based games like fallout, as a later comment pointed out, it removes any incentive to explore or find things.
Makes you ask why go through all that open world/world building time in the first place.

Yeah, just to clarify, when I said "clear timers for entire games" I meant having a timer that runs from start to finish of the entire game, and either rates you or otherwise causes you to get a "less than ideal" ending if you don't essentially speedrun the full game in question. I honestly hate that trash! As you said yourself, it just de-incentivises players from engaging with any content in the game that is not mission critical.

By all means, allow for speedruns, but forcing all players, regardless of their playstyle, to skip content or suffer an inevitable game over? Fuck that shit, if you will excuse my incredibly intellectual way of putting it. :ROFLMAO:

You can add speedrun functions, like when the game has been beaten you unlock a setting or have it there from the start or heck make it another mode but for crying out loud keep the game the way it is!

For those who use CE is the Cloth_On bool working? I tried it in the stupid doll chase level but they still grab me without any option to struggle. Really shitty level but if I get full save then I may miss what is behind.

Sorry, its not a real answer, but regarding the fight itself - it might be helpful to pick up the dolls, that you can, and throw them over the boss and off the screen. This way they won't wake up and chase you at an inconvenient time.

At least it made it easier for me, since this way there are far fever active threats on the screen at a time.

And well, it could be a common knowleddge, but I, to my shame never knew it was an option until recently*

Hey, is there no way to cancel sex animation?
Also - no button to pre-emptively shove succubi out of the way? Or somehow dodge their attacks?

Nope.
You either have to keep your cloak on you at all times or avoid them like the pest. (medieval sickness)
Once they catch you can still try to alternatively press the arrow keys to get out of their hold.

I found that you can kinda jump over them if you're really careful (and that's about those who run normally, not "dash" towards you - I imagine that might be possible but would take spiderman reaction or knowing their timing very exactly to pull off

You missed the secret door in the hallway.
"Open your freaking eyes!" to quote John Creasman.
It is very easy to miss and intended to be a fake out for the game over scene.#

No need to put all that into spoiler if you ask me really.
The code is around the Doll House at Day but you just have to look around enough or even move boxes around.
Also the code is random each playthrough or stagethrough.
The green gear is somewhere in the night section.
Idrk how to explain where it is but watch out for the army horde of dolls breaking out to catch you once you get it ;)

I've noticed that each save mentions how many times you were defeated as well as how many saves you made
Is there anything that is accessible only if you made very few saves or never been defeated?

I figured out my mistake of not knowing that doors, openable by gears can be entered.
I was worried I missed some special secrets went back to a previous save and it turns out it's first time this mechanic was used, think this needs to be mentioned in hints because it was very not obvious to me

Edit: enemies design is definitely stronger part of this game. Tiny dolls are hilarious, but they also robbed of half hp lol
