So there was a Patreon update for paying supporters like me a few hours ago.

Hi! I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays.
This past week I've been focused exclusively on Casual Desires, but I think it will need a couple more weeks before it's ready. There's a few reasons for this, including but not limited to:

• Extra scenes were added, such as a new ending scene, a variation at Violet's house for players who chose not to ask her out, and a short stripping section at the porn interview. The chapter was otherwise feeling quite disjointed without these transitional scenes.
• I'd like to finish rendering the Luna date scene on my new computer, after it arrives (hopefully) on Jan 2nd. GPU limitations meant that I wasn't able to render background characters in this scene, and that the scene itself was quite short. My new machine with a RTX 4090 will significantly expand the scope of what I'm able to render.
• The dialogue in Casual Desires has been challenging for me to write, due to it being a slice-of-life. This isn't the case with RD since the dialogue - while more complex - comes very naturally as a result of its story focus.
• There's been an increase in negativity these past few days. While I don't take these sorts of comments personally, it does drain my energy and cause me to be less productive than I'd like.

I know that players were expecting to play the new chapter before the end of the year, and that was my hope as well. Apologies for any disappointment this news might have caused.
Casual Desires will be returning to a regular schedule in 2025, since it is launching on Steam.

While i want developers to take their time to finish the game to what they want it to be, you made it into a "boy who cried wolf" situation over the past year with this game, so of course people will become negative and sarcastic.

So now you "think it will need a couple more weeks before it's ready".
You know a couple means 2 right? Will it be ready mid january? If not this will earn you even more negativity and sacasm here.

It probably would have been smarter to no longer mention a timeframe for release other then "when its done" and then supprise drop it on Patreon when you´re finished, because its very very obvious that C.D. is not you´re priority.

Facts. The dev lies constantly and still manages to play the victim. This is a different level of swindler tactics and trying to gain sympathy and playing the victim card while still making thousands every single month.

I like CD more than RD but I do understand if RD bring food to the table for the team than it should be much prioritized. With CD finally gonna launch on steam, hope will be updated regulary again and good in terms of financial for the team!

Despite the slow updates, I'm disappointment in the negativity that many commenters provide. Yeah it sucks that the chapters are coming out much more slowly compared to a few years ago but many of you all don't appreciate the amount of proactive effort that goes into making a game. There is plenty of effort that goes into drafting the plot, filling in the texts, planning the scenes, creating/rendering scenes, setting up the game/engine etc. The amount of people who pay / put in nothing and slander the creator for slower and slower delays is pathetic; I imagine that many of you have never had to manage projects, provide estimates, and execute the project. Granted I'm on a goddamn pirating porn site so I guess we are all pathetic degenerates.

The main people I hold empathy for are those who donate towards ionDivvy's patreon with the expectation of quicker releases. For those people I wish ionDivvy was more transparent not only about what they would like to accomplish but also their own personal wishes for what they would like to work on. I understand that life events, emotions, and motivation are all factors. So please don't beat yourself up too much over slower development. Easier said than done

In terms of development time, I imagine that the decision making allowed within the story makes each chapter longer which is great to those who go through every path but pisses off those who want quicker updates.

Nonetheless I appreciate the effort of ionDivvy to continue writing the story; I have been following since chapter 5 and hope to see its completion one day Keep up the good work!

And it should be exactly the people who realize how much work goes in to making these games that are the the most annoyed with ionDivvy.

Because that's why you don't start a second project and tell all the supporters that you've built up due to the original project there will be no slow down on said original project's release schedule or its priority level, which is exactly wtf ionDivvy did.

CD is actually a great game and worth the wait but the promises of updates keeps on moving. For me, It's better to not say when the update will be because we keep on waiting for the day of promise only to be given another day. Still hoping for the update soon. CD later faced difficulties getting approved on Steam, which had a significant impact on its development speed.

To be honest, it's kind of bizarre to me how a cute slice-of-life porn game (and a free one at that) managed to attract such miserable and frankly unhinged people. Thankfully, 99% of CD players aren't like this and have been much more supportive.

How would a Steam release affect your development speed exactly? You could've just kept making DAZ renders alongside and releasing new chapters here. Your ability to develop the game wasn't compromised, your ability to make money on Patreon wasn't compromised, nothing was taken away from you that you had to stop working on CD for an entire year while RD got all the focus... and it seems like you've just started working on Chapter 20... What the hell were you doing the whole year exactly?

By your logic, if the CD wasn't approved on Steam, you would've stopped the development entirely?

Also, Chapter 19 was singlehandledly the most nothingburger of a "chapter" if you can even call it that. The criticism was well deserved and everyone noticed the drop in quality, attention to writing, the renders were mediocre. It was a sign that CD was about to be sidelined as a second thought.
