There actually is a happy ending. You need to beat the third level and have 5000-8499 HP. If you go over 8500 hp you kill the demon king but then the human king decides you are too strong and then amputates you to shove you in a lab.

Also if you click skip instead of next you get the option to select dumb choices that result in unique bad end scenarios.
