Most probably a scammer
it's any chance for this to be legit or..... AOA Academy all over again?!
Without actual confirmation from the developer, and given that his Patreon no longer exists, it's hard to say for sure, however I lean toward the idea that the game was stolen, like AOA Academy, Fantasy Valley Seasons 1 and 2, 53X Homecoming, and Divergence: Beyond the Singularity Part 1 & Part 2.

There doesn't seem to be any other way to contact the dev, and it's a pity, because the dispute over the publishing rights of the two Timestamps between Motkeyz and Aesouh shows that the real developer, with the necessary documentation, can actually block the matter or have the game removed if it is stolen, as already happened with the attempted publishing of Meet 'n' Fuck Kingdom after that scam was reported to the developers (Games of Desire) a couple of times.

probably we will need to wait for some confirmation or proof for others on steam that this game is really finished...
but as you said... most likely it's a scam

Sorry but what exactly happened with timestamps? If it's not too much to ask?

Very roughly speaking, Timestamps: Unconditional Love and its sequel Timestamps: Lost Love were developed by Motkeyz, in terms of the artistic aspect, and Aesouh, who took care of the code using his own customization of the Unity engine.
The first was released on Steam in January 2023, while the second is still in development. For over a year, we waited for Aesouh to finish coding the last chapter so that the game could be release too, but, for reasons of his own, the work suffered continuous delays, and in the end, Motkeyz, who had already started working alone on the next title using Ren'py, decided it was time to do something and, with the help of others, decided to bring Timestamps: Lost Love to Ren'py and release it as soon as it was ready. This led Aesouh to contest Motkeyz's rights to publish the two games, so Steam, I guess at the request of Aesouh, or something like that, retired both titles until the two resolve the dispute.
Now, as I said, this is very rough, you can find more details in these three posts in the Timestamps: Lost Love thread (post 1, post 2, and post 3 inside the spoiler), of course there is also information in the posts before and after ;)

[Edit: the hopefully last part of the Timestamps situation can be found here: post 4 inside the spoiler]

Anyway, what matters here is that it's actually possible for the developer or publisher to take action in the event of a title being illegally published, presumably if they have the documents, or tools, to prove authorship or involvement in its development. Reporting the title as stolen via the game's Steam page hasn't yielded any results, just like coming to F95 and saying, "It's not me, don't buy the game on Steam!" :D

Sometimes devs make a surprise come back ( or try to make a easy cash grab) on Steam like the devs of XStoryPlayer or Dual Family.

Though scam potential is always there.

Would be interesting if a scammer actually finished an abandoned game while replicating the original dev well.

Still scummy of course but better than nothing. It sucks the dev did go absolutely radio silent on this thread and won't comment on it.

Personally, I don't think so. The writing will be enough different that there will suddenly be a change in the game (dialogue, probably pacing as well) that is likely to be jarring. It's why usually when a writer dies there's not another to take over their book series (Brandon Sanderson was an exception for Robert Jordan).

Keep in mind, if it isn't complete: the game isn't even listed as early access on steam. Wish I could scout the thing without dropping 15$

Somebody either finished the game or it's a HUGE scam.

Are any of the preview images from new scenes? If not, It's 99% sure, a scam.

For comparison.
The game version listed here is on the left, the Steam Version is on the right..

Haven't played through, but from the Steam reviews there's only 2 chapters..

Wouldn't be surprised to learn it was the same dev or that this game was a big inspiration.
Between the game, story, and mechanics.......its basically the exact same game besides the whole demon aspect. I've got a feeling its the same dev with a fully realized version of what he was working on here. Besides the wife character and how they act are basically 1 for 1 and the your little demon helper seems to take some cues from Howard's daughter in this game.
