Well no offense, but i couldn't disagree more. The most popular AVNs are MCs that come from poor broken homes. Being A Dik, Where the heart is, WVM etc... All broken children that came from financially insecure backgrounds.Well, I can totally sympathize with your position, but this is a criticism that could be leveled at a shit ton of VNs. Even that Straightened Times VN where the family is living in the grungy hotel in the desert they are rich as fuck and it is just a temporary setback because the dad is in jail. Everybody else in VNs seems to live in a dope ass house with a pool and a sauna and gym. Chasing Sunsets does have that 1% vibe all the way through, but like soap operas, VNs seems to be a genre that doesn't thrive if the characters aren't well off and fucking in nice places.
But you're right, even as you generalized, most AVN MCs evolve to "wealthy" status. But that doesn't mean they started that way. Chasing Sunsets is kind uniqie in that it's a story of a family that owns a mountain with a cabin and Rollie-Royces. Hard to empathize indeed.
