Why would / should it? It has that dev's blessing. Is Artemis' cameo going to lead to a potential lawsuit?
The devs are not very much present here to read your comments, I'd suggest you head over to their Discord if you want to congratulate them. Agree with most of your comments by the way...Wow! Just finished, and I'm blown away!
First off, the dialogue is some of the funniest I've seen in much of any fiction I've read in a while, let alone the VNs I've played. Found myself laughing out loud many times. And a lot of the more serous scenes I felt were not overly melodramatic, and often touching without being cheesy.
Secondly, the graphics were easily some of the best I've seen. The characters were very well designed and, for the most part, realistic. Sure, there were a lot of common features, and (maybe I've just never noticed) most women don't have eyes that bright, but they were all very nice to look at. While there were some scenes I wish had been animated that weren't, I never really felt they were diminished greatly by being static. Plus, the animations I did see were much better than almost any other VN I've seen, often longer and more fluid. The only real down-note was one scene with MC and Jaye where the back of her head looked like she was suffering from nuclear fallout, or had shaved everything on the back of her head but the top.
Next is the music: where do you guys find this stuff? Almost every track really amplified the scene it played in, and in a few scenes I caught myself tearing up. I also found myself SHAZAMing over half of it. I'd love a "Chasing Sunsets: The Soundtrack!"
Lastly, I thought the story was pretty well-written. There were a few snags where I felt things didn't really make sense or feel realistic, especially dealing with MC and Jaye's relationship in the past, especially with discovering their parents already knew how they felt, but I became heavily invested in MC and Jaye's relationship after they reunited. By Chapter 4 or 5, I was Jaye all the way.
I know from reading comments here and there that many people will disagree with me on everything I just wrote, and in no way am I saying any of their opinions are not valid from their own perspective. This is just mine. But "Chasing Sunsets" is, hands down, the best VN I've had the pleasure of experiencing! Thank you guys so much for all of the hard work you put into creating this story! It was an amazing job!
Developers are like a guild. They often converse with each other asking for or swapping information. Sometimes they will cross-promote on their subscription sites. Another thing that they do is ask if they can use each other's renders in their own games. It happens all the time. A few games have many references to other games. It's all consensual. Very few successful developers live in a vacuum. Is Artemis' cameo going to lead to a potential lawsuit?
Well, luckily for you, and luckily for me, I don't have a problem with that shit homie xDI don't see the issue. Unless you're one of those people who need all LIs, including the older ones, to still be virgins, why would it be a problem that they've had at least one previous sexual partner?

Why is this strange? My favourite of all these ladies was Bianca (incl. the MGs) but in that one last scene mentioned above, his reason to end things with Bianca was that she wanted to have a baby - she also mentioned this when she moved to Boston-- but MC did not want to have a kid. And here is my thorn on the foot: he didn`t want a kid with Bianca BUT in the runs with the MGs they both got pregnant afterwards and he was so happy. BS if you ask me !!
It's strange because the game is arbitrarily conflating different things without giving the player any choice in the matter. There's no particular reason why choosing not to start a relationship with Jaye would force the MC to also not want kids, the devs only did that to "justify" the eventual breakup with Bianca. Why is this strange?
The MC is shaped by the choices that we as players make. There happen to be a lot of choices in this game. So, it's completely understandable that one MC might not want kids in one playthrough and welcome them in another. Just like he would fall in love with one of the main girls or the other one, or even neither of them, depending on those same choices.
Yeah, I get it. You hate this game, so naturally anything the developers do is dumb. It's strange because the game is arbitrarily conflating different things without giving the player any choice in the matter. If the devs were dead set against the MC ending up with one of the side girls they should never have teased the possibility to begin with. No one forced them them to let the MC date Bianca (et al) in the first place, they added that option on their own - only to immediately invalidate it by saying the relationship was doomed and the MC is still pining for a *real* ending. It was a dumb decision.
getting upset over a side girlYeah, I get it. You hate this game, so naturally anything the developers do is dumb.
But, I'm tired of you doing this in every game you play. It's always something that pisses you off. Well, I'm not going to read your rants anymore. Bye!
In a lot of games there are completely contradictory paths for a player to go down for the MC. As just one example, look at all the games where the MC can be either dominant or submissive based on choices. That is a complete psychological contradiction. Not only that, but the player can choose to select one way and then the other way on the next choice, creating a dual-personality MC.Wow, some people really get reved up by the tiniest things....
Back to my comment, this is how I see. Yes, you might think that the MC and the player choices will result in that he did not want to have kids with oone and to have with other girls. But if as a player you are the one making the decisions, then it should be consistent with what you have chosen previously as you are playing as the MC. Is all I wanted to say, to be consistent, they probably (the devs) should have chosen another bulsshit excuse but the one of pregnancy being a dela breaker totally upset me, and that is all. And yes, I also hate contractions !!
The Peanut Gallery is accessible from the main menu. If it doesn't show up even though you've enabled it in-game, you have a mod installed that breaks the thing...Wow, some people really get reved up by the tiniest things....

On an additional Note: in the last chapter there is a text exchange with Peanut (Amanda) in which she has hacked your phone and has all your photos and in excange she offers you photos of anybody in your contact list. If you accept there is a Link on the phone screen to Download the photos. Later a message appears on the game screen saying "Peanut Gallery Unlocked". Where is this Gallery ?? I cannot see it on the preferences or the Gallery or at least no additional photo has been added on my gallery.
You can pursue both, yes, but you have to navigate the choices carefully in order to be successful to the end. There's a "Jaye/Mal Poly Guide" in the OP that takes you through the key steps of it.I played the game a few years ago up to the first scene with Jaye and I think it was possible to pursue both main LIs on the same path. Is it still possible? I read this thread and it seems like some people were not happy with that particular path and it was supposed to be fixed in the last update, but I can't find a post that describe what was wrong with MC pursuing both LI (and I’m unsure what to search for), can anyone enlighten me please? I don't mind spoilers.
It is possible to end up with both, I say end up with, cause the path itself is atrocious dogwater bad.I played the game a few years ago up to the first scene with Jaye and I think it was possible to pursue both main LIs on the same path. The "issue" was that (at least) one of the girls didn't want to be part of a throuple, as she had no interest in being in a relationship with another woman, or indeed with anyone other than the MC. I guess a lot of people didn't like that because she had already shared intimacy with another woman in the past; because they wanted it and played to that end, and so that should be the most important part; or because of the decision Jaye came to on this route at the end of the Ep9 update.
Thanks to both of you.It is possible to end up with both, I say end up with, cause the path itself is atrocious dogwater bad.
The throuple path is basically, a solo Jaye path, that disregards anything Mallory, her feelings, story and everything till the very end. You don't even profess your feelings to Mal, you tell her, its just to help her, then basically break up for the last 3 chapters, then magically everything worked out, like a fairy tale when Jaye suddenly out of nowhere will just accept Mal now.
Really great story writing![]()
