Guys, has anyone registered this problem? A lot of the Steam achievements are not firing on Steam (like every secone one) while they fire in-game. Who can fix this? Is this a Steam issue?

I don't understand why the author insists on having the incest genre in his novel?
Who is related to whom?
The main character is NOT Jane's brother.
Melory is a stranger in general.
I don't see what the incestuous relationship is here. Why mislead?

it's Jaye and Mallory. But to answer your question, if you paid attention, it's heavily implied (by the conversation between the two lab techs) that Jaye and MC are in fact related... they mixed up the test results. MC and Jaye of course don't know that bit of information.

You should really pay closer attention.

the authors played a lot with this incest that is not incest, but maybe it is, now it seems not though on second thought well....

come to the end of the story it became quite boring.

from a "family" point of view the relationship between MC and Jaye remains incestuous at least as a porn genre. from a genetic point of view, which is why incest is frowned upon even without religious imput, it is a constant tug and pull

The developers seem to believe incest is part and parcel with porn visual novels. They therefore do everything they can to wrap their game in the mantle of incest while still sticking within the letter of the rules Patreon enforces against incest.

Personally I think it's a massive waste of time and effort that cheapens the game overall, but it's their story. If they're dead set on trying to square the circle of incest-free incest, this is probably the only viable option.

Chasing Sunsets has elements of near sci-fi in it.

The story includes cloning, where the MC has the option to try to clone Mallory's dog who died horribly when she was young.

It deals with the trauma created by a man - the person who raised Mallory - who was so consumed with the idea of Sarah that he fertilized and implanted one of her eggs, placing it in another woman - the person who gave birth to Mallory.

I don't believe that Sarah knew that her egg was implanted in the wife of James, creating the incest/not incest aspect of the story that is currently uncertain.

Then there are two children raised together (the MC and Jaye) and we get to choose their relationship path forward.

Is it romantic, is it supportive, or is it competitive with little love or trust remaining?

The incest aspect plays a part of the story whether or not the MC pursues Jaye or Mallory.

IMO, it plays only a side part in the story for those who reject both of the lead LIs and focus solely on the side women (and yes - I suspect that the % of those who take this option is small).

I'm enjoying the story being told, including the potential angst that Jaye is feeling about whether or not she and the MC share the DNA of the same mother.

I know this is not something enjoyed by all, but I am fine with it.

I'm looking forward to what happens now that they have returned to Boston, both story-wise and with the different relationships.

Cheers!! :coffee:
