hello everyone, F*CK collective soul, with that said, I originally played the game on steam but I'd rather download it and play it through F95, the one question that I have is that there is a walkthrough on steam to get all the achievements and to end up with more than one character, does anyone know if the walkthrough and cheats mod achieves this? I do have a patreon membership with Joker so I guess I could ask him if I'm being a pain, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

To get the throuple it as simple as;

1. Reject Mallory route when she asks about relationship and enter Jaye Romance route in previous chapters, the open relationship route is false hope;
2. Make sure your love points with Mallory and Jaye are very high, i.e., maximize their love points;
3. When Jaye is feeling down, choose "Ask her what's wrong", then when in the online conference scene, choose " I'd like to phone a friend";
4. At the end of your journey with Mallory, choose "I wish things were different";
5. If everything goes well, after having sex with Jaye, she will talk about invite Mallory back into their lives, then voila, you enter the true throuple route.

- Choose to be in a committed relationship with Jaye at the resort.
- In chapter 9, you need to phone a friend to get Jaye in the John Hopkins program.
- In chapter 9, after spending time at the cabin with Mallory, tell her you wish things could be different.
- In chapter 9, when you have sex with Jaye, her love score must be 95 or higher (this is probably the hardest part) and Mallory's must be 80 or higher.

As achievements, it's gonna be loading saves and rolling back if you want them in one playthrough, which I don't think is possible, or Steam achievement unlocker...

To be clear, the poly ending requirements remain unchanged.
bummer... okay thanks!

Ugh, yeah, that is what I meant... there are "open relationship" flags/paths but they're useless and worse: misleading... to me that's a huge faux pas in terms of narrative and pathing... it's like they're intentionally misleading people to get into a bad ending.

I really don't understand why they wouldn't change/fix that, but oh well... =/

Now that the game has had its final release, can anyone give me a list of all of the possible endings that are confirmed? I have tried to search but there isnt an updated walkthrough and the only list of endings that I have found are before the final release or speculative.

In case you didn't see all 9 endings, just change the variable Num050 right before chapter 10 to see them all:

While playing the Steam version (1.10a), I seem to have encountered a bug. In the scene in chapter 9 where MC, Jaye, and Mallory are returning from the Lexi concert, the cricket ambient soundtrack is stuck playing permanently throughout the rest of the game (so far, I stopped playing a few scenes later). I tried reloading a save, closing the game, etc.

Well to me she looks like the exact same model at the blonde girl from The Way Love Goes. I don't remember her name off the top of my head. I remember that she was my favourite in a not great VN. Though I know it's not that unusual to see the same models reused in different VN's.

It's definitely Lily from TWLG, same tatoos, hairs, skin color, etc.
And I seem to recognize one or two other girls from other games too, especially number 3.

Didnt they wrote that they intended to change that and that the open relationship should lead to the throuple (too)?

I cant play the throuple as it is now as the way to achieve it is so stupid imo and kinda damages jaye's character.

Until chapter 7/8 chasings sunsets was among the best avns for me and went downhill really fast afterwards. The endings (played 2 so far) were okay and kinda fun but nothing special at all.

The buildup of everything and imo especially the jaye/MC realtionship in this avn was awesome imo, the execution of their relationship felt kinda lacking tho. As if the devs lost motivation for this story. The resolution of the mainstory (christian fucks them over because mcs mommy was awesome) was rather lame too imo.

I hope the dev can take the awesome things from chasing sunsets to their next game and improve the flaws while keeping the motivation to tell a story up.

Like I said before, what I would like to see is a bit less humour and more emotional depth. Especially during scenes that are supposed to be serious and emotional moments. There is no need for jokes or pop culture references in every scene IMO.

hold the fuck up, that second to last girl looks a lot like Aurora from Heaven's Door at least from a distance (I haven't seen up close pics to be fair)
You're right she looks almost exactly like Aurora, but..., why would you even look at her with Imani standing right there!

But there was considerably more emotional depth in the earlier stages of the AVN. Especially when Alex and Jaye's relationship was still very rocky. As the story went on everything got more and more lighthearted and the game suffered because of it. It's ok to let a heavy, sad or uncomfortable situation just sit and stew for a bit. You don't have to always immediately throw in a joke to lighten things up again.

Like Krytax said, up until chapters 7 or 8 this AVN was a 9/10 easy. From there it just felt like rushing to get to the finish line as fast as possible.

Yeah i liked the scene where Jaye "ambushed" the MC on the yacht, asking him if he even was able to grief for their parents (and his best friend) yet and his little breakdown afterwards. There were emotions and it felt somewhat real ...

... just that it was never seen again. Grief? Whats that shit? i prefer to be funny with my pedo-van.

The parents felt kinda discarded as matchmakers, like it was their sole purpose to give mc the ring and tell him that incest is fiiiineeee even tho the buildup was so very different.

And uh, maybe i missed it, but the guys setting up the assasination of the parents never got punished for it, did they? (or did that just not happen because i killed the killer?)

I think it's mentioned during the conversation with the AG that they are going to jail. Vince, the actual assassin, ends up at a CIA black site in Poland if you don't kill him on the yacht.

Is there any other scene with Linda after "Memory Lane"? I could have sworn I remember something after that first scene.

I've commented on this before.
Honestly, from a character perspective, this path to Jaye proposing poly makes sense to me. Jaye has a lot of insecurities about MC actually loving her, so I can understand her being more comfortable proposing poly when she's very confident that MC loves her and wants to commit to a long-term relationship with her. A committed couple opening their relationship to a third person is a pretty common way for poly to occur in real life. Don't get me wrong, open relationships of 3+ people deciding to commit to each other is another common way for poly to form, but mostly only when the people involved are overall happy with the open relationship and want to make things more committed. For Jaye specifically I can see why an open relationship might not be a good fit for her.

From a gameplay and player experience perspective though, it's a very different story. If they wanted to make committing to Jaye a prerequisite, I'd have preferred a way to do that while still being honest upfront that I was committing to Jaye, but had feelings for Mal rather than essentially pretending that attraction wasn't there.
So TL;DR - from a narrative and character perspective it makes sense to me (particularly since neither Jaye or Mal are particularly happy with the open relationship situation), but from a gameplay perspective I can understand why people find it frustrating.

Honestly, I think it's a similar situation here with some of the endings that some people seem unhappy with in that the devs prioritized their narrative and character writing vision higher than how potential players may react to it from a gameplay and "Happily Ever After" expectation perspective. (That, and certain side LIs just weren't going to get a HEA here because they're main LIs in Firebreak)
