Like I said before, what I would like to see is a bit less humour and more emotional depth. Especially during scenes that are supposed to be serious and emotional moments. There is no need for jokes or pop culture references in every scene IMO.
breh... no kidding, I was replaying this and I forgot how much "humor" and specially how many references there are all the fuckin' time and it feels like unless you're 35+ y/o you won't even understand a fraction of those... and that's without even getting into the references to other games (cameos) that also plague the later half of the game... god I fuckin hate avn cameos so much.

So TL;DR - from a narrative and character perspective it makes sense to me (particularly since neither Jaye or Mal are particularly happy with the open relationship situation), but from a gameplay perspective I can understand why people find it frustrating.
Well I was mostly speaking in terms of gameplay, yes, because it IS a game... "devs" need to think about that kind of thing, you can't just put choices that hint towards something and then do something completely different, that's disrespectful of people's time.

In terms of narrative, I mean, I don't know, it's not super well thought out either, tbh... but that's a bit more debatable I suppose.

I think I often have a different perspective here from others. While technically a game, I usually view AVNs more like "choose your own adventure" novels. So I tend to care more about narrative than gameplay structures. It's one reason I rarely play any sandbox AVNs and often skip minigames when given the choice.

Anyways, the topic was discussed to death when Chapter 9 came out, so I won't go on more about it.

Seems like you and I look out for the same things in AVNs. Probably why we also share the same feelings towards Chasing Sunsets...
