Also anyone who gets offended by my post then maybe check why you're offended by someone not into the kink, it comes off as you projecting.

If you're into said kink then enjoy the game that way but a lot of people aren't, seen comments also addressing it. This lets both sides enjoy said game nothing wrong with it, goodbye
Oh, I'm not offended. Just amused that on a path that already leans heavily into the incest kink that two ambiguous lines that already let the reader interpret it as they prefer needed to be fully removed.

The scene where two doctors are about to conduct a test seems to hint that they may have messed up somewhere. This scene is in the game to show ambiguity: there may or may not be a family connection. And also to announce the cloning of a cute puppy.

Oh I know, but it's intentionally left ambiguous to allow the reader to interpret as they deem fit (and possibly to comply with certain websites TOS). Anyways, it's really not a big deal and we should probably move on. I just found it a bit amusing that on a path that already consistently leans into the incest taboo the ambiguity was enough to compel someone to decompile and change the script.

What I mean is that the game doesn't need an i-patch precisely because of this. To maintain an aura of secrecy around it.
This isn't a game like NO more money, where a patch is needed only because the original text was corrected in order to circumvent Patreon's rules.

Don’t care what patreon thinks, I care what law states.
I agree with that. But different countries have different laws. Although, in reality, the law doesn't care what you do behind closed doors. But if you start shouting about it to the whole world... well, you'll have to face the consequences.
These are difficult times for AVN. I really hope that all this crap is just a dangerous precedent and not the beginning of the end.

I'll also add that porn with a fictional depiction of incest between adults is generally legal in most jurisdictions. So it's not because of a legal issue that that type of content is being removed. But going in to that more would start to deviate off topic, so I'll leave it there.

I'll also add that the fictional depiction of incest is far more broadly legal than actual incest (which itself is probably more broadly legal between consenting adults than many people realize).
I'm not particularly familiar with US law, but as far as I know, incest is prohibited in all its forms. In Europe and Asia, it's a little different. There is no single law governing this. Although technically, content containing it is classified as adult content. What adults do in their own homes is nobody's business but their own. If he goes around shouting that what he does is normal, but from a moral and ethical point of view it is not, then yes, that's another matter. The question is this: if all adult content is subject to censorship, then what the hell is the point of age restrictions (this applies specifically to “adult” content and not to the sale of alcohol, for example).

I edited my original post a bit since you responded, but I'll clarify anyways. I was curious about this since the whole thing came up recently, but from what I found I believe fictional adult incest porn is legal in all 50 states because it's covered by free speech laws (though some might try to use "obscenity laws" to litigate against it).

As for actual incest, adult sibling incest is illegal in all but 3 states, but for first-cousins it's more like 50/50. Though marriage is still illegal in many cases even where the act isn't illegal.

In any case, IANAL but nothing between MC and Jaye seems like it would make the game illegal in the US, even if it wasn't ambiguous. It's almost entirely censorship from non-government entities that would be a potential issue.

I am also referring to works of art when I talk about this topic. I apologize if I am not expressing my thoughts correctly.
It is very disappointing that freedom of speech only applies until someone feels offended.

Never played Artemis before, I take it?
Nope. Just looked it up, it seems like the person Amanda was talking to is a character from that game?

To clarify, I don't have a problem with AI or cyborgs or whatever the character may be as a whole. My issue is that until Amanda became this genius and that character with the eyes that flash when she does hacker things showed up, the story of Chasing Sunsets was at least somewhat realistic. Yeah, the MC's backstory is extremely improbable but everything in it *could* technically happen. Amanda and her friend felt like the story jumping the shark.

You can see the code on each choice with URM, just click path detected (on the screen of the 1st screenshot) and the condition/code, the 2nd screenshot bellow in the spoiler box appears if num050=0 or if you simply click Select, and in that same screenshot I show the code of first option of 9 and num050 variable go from 1 to 9 in order.

Thank you for the explanation! Will try it out later, I haven't noticed the description of the choices before.

The AI character Amanda is talking with is who the game Artemis is named after. In the game, she is the very first true AI.

As for her inclusion in Chasing Sunsets, the dev commented on that recently in Discord.

Keep in mind that the med tech that's a core premise of the game is slightly futuristic too. So it's not the first time something like that was included.

Artemis should be on your short list of next AVNs to start.

Realistic? As in a documentary? This is a romantic comedy!

I don't think a story with spies, genetic engineering, and tragic family deaths intended to be "realistic" ever. The devs focused on developing the characters and their relationships, and took their liberties with the science and legal stuff. Amanda is almost comedic relief, and the trial in the epilogues very dry, but even if you do hate them, I don't think they're what the game really is about nor they should "ruin" it for anyone.

aaaand that's why i hate avn cameos... people shouldn't need to play other games to understand what the fuck is going on... this game goes a bit too hard with the cameos at times, specifically the artemis and summer scent ones (the rest are more proper cameos/references that don't interfere too much with the narrative, like the eternum one, or the LOF one).
