If you looked at the last few pages, you would see that we have multiple posts of the dev saying he is "close" to the next update...
Also look at the page linked in the OP massage (The one named Website), there you can find most of the "updates" on the progress of the current update
So no the game is not abandoned but it is also not finished yet.
3 month = half a year.

Not sure if it's been asked already, is there an android version of this game?

impossible, because
1- the game is too big for android
2- after android 10 they limited A LOT of what apps outside the google store can do
GDS update times are random, with a higher frequency in winter months. My guess is an update comes whenever two factors are true AT THE SAME TIME: 1. he´s sober 2. he needs money for booze and hookers.

maybe this will help. otherwise, instead of -xattr rc, you could try "chmod +x [drop your file here]"?

is your mac with M1 Silicon Processor?
if yes I think you have to use Rosetta 2 that is an emulation of intel processor
