What version did you download? This image is the title screen for Ch.1. But the error says that there is a missing image of Kaeno... But Kaeno is a character that only exists in Ch.2. There is something wrong with this build that you downloaded. Try adding this image to the www/img/characters folder.
I believe women were not allowed to be Samurai. There were female ninjas, kunoichi, there were also geishas, which the Kunoichi worked as to kill people.
The Onna-musha were definitely warriors who fought alongside samurai. They were quite popular in Japanese literature and art. There were even female cavalry units.
Literature and art doesn't mean reality. And muskets are too late in time. I'm not saying it didn't happen. But yeah.. I'm searching that link you provided and no mention of women, female onna-musha cavalry units or anything.
I don't mind you being misogynistic - after all, everyone is entitled to be a complete ass - but don't deny reality please. A quick google search easily reveals that women warriors were present and fairly widespread in Japanese history.
