Chronicles of Leridia 1.0 Part I : A better immersive game


Leridia is already complete in version 0.6.3 but I wanted to come back to some elements of the game right after.

It has now been three years since I decided this and A LOT of things have been added, remastered.

I will make several posts with a theme for each because one post would be too long for everything.

My progress is currently around 60% of the game. Masa, Basin, Kamelia are complete. I'm working on the Underworld now and the upper part of Leridia.

Today we talk about...

Atmosphere, Sounds, Music, Graphics, dialogs

Yes, we're talking about a more, a better immersive game than ever !

A good part of the whole project is dedicated to improve immersive feelings with a better atmosphere with visuals, sounds, dialogs improved :Weather effects, lightings, sounds have been reworked and still in progress.




In Basin, I've added heatwave effects. You're really feeling like it's desert port now. (see attached file Basin Heat.mp4)

A lot of scenes have been improved with dialogs or small visual effects and sounds.

They're more immersive in some way.


Dialogs for the most part are using now a translucent dialog window. Here Elliot scene has been improved with dialogs, sun effects on windows and animated god rays.

Some places also have better effects such as the Cursed Tomb.


The Cursed Tomb is creepy but it has also some mystic feeling.

The Kamelia Forest and the village have also been improved :

Caves have better visuals with better fog effects, detailed assets.



Added lights and changed colors for better nights, here the Inn of Kame

I also added characters pictures and events (I will dedicate a whole post for the content next).

The pictures are now moving when Characters are introduced in a conversation.

The battle monsters are now slightly animated (floating, breathing).

One of the many examples of immersive additions is an image of Jessica commenting on an event

Last but not least, the Underworld is currently under progress.


Overall : Many details have been added. If it is not a complete overhaul of the graphics and sounds, you should have a much better immersive experience.

Musics as well have been added, using a bit of AI generative technology.

In the next part we will talk about the content added so far : Storylines, Quests, Pentagrams.

The search function is your friend, it lets you find things already posted (multiple times in this case).

The issue is that the forum rules state it should be labeled as either on hold (it was for a while, not sure why it changed) or abandoned (which is if the game hasn't been updated within a time limit of 3 months IIRC).

Maelion got pissed about it being labeled as on hold and abandoned, since they consider themselves to be actively working on the remake version of it. They also refused to say this version is completed, which would be the correct tag by my understanding of the definition, since a remake isn't just an update to the game.

FULL SAVE + GALLERY (sort of)
The game doesn't have an integrated gallery so I decided to make one myself (no mod), I made a quick save before all H-scene that are relevant, the main story and side story quest are all included, but the saves are not in order so it may be a little bit confusing.
P.S. I don't have all the scenes for the princess mode yet, however they are really easy to get since there is no battle involved, I'll post another message with princess mode saves next time.

I went through and wrote up a quick little shorthand for where all the saves are for anyone wanting to just watch certain scenes back (asterisks at the end mean there are sex scenes, no asterisk means it seems like just a general location save from what I can tell) (also please note that I could be missing certain things or have gotten certain things wrong there's a lot of saves and I didn't spend too long in any of them lol)

Thank you for writing this, it helped me out as well since I didn't play for a long time lol, almost every save should be before a sex scene or possible sex scene by losing a battle, for example Save 23 should be with an asterisk since the player have the choice to lose on purpose or fight normally, only an handful are on general save mostly because of important choice or if player wants to start at that specific point in game.
Once the 1.0 update comes out ill do a new save collection that is hopefully more in order including the princess scenes as well.

Well there is no other option Dev has said that old saves wont work in 1.0 version.

Personaly i would not update current walktrhu, since version 1.0 when it comes will be different in someways.
Sure mostly it will stay same, but then walkthru would need atleast 2 updates.

I said no to bertag once, thinking it was needed for the stand up quest, wich prompted an hylarious scene where you kick her in the crotch. The quest is not done and now I can't trigger her to appear again even at 100+ discipline (tryed changing exiting and comming back, gaining discipline in every way. talking to every one and activating pentagrams).

Did I just lose block two quests?

For whoever is having this issue, as I was frustrated with it and said to my self f it I will come back later. After a night or two I entered the brothel and directly went to the Teddy to take a pill when I found out that I am poisoned and forced to slave for Bertag (which sometimes had her pronounce changed to him instead of her, which I find annoying because it will make her Futa), while doing this scene as she mentioned that the strap on is a demonic horn I was wondering if it wouldn't it be better if it was a tentacle instead that after climax enter Sylia's vagina... Deviant choice influenced my mind I guess

I've been working for several years on adding content and updating Leridia to version 1.0.

The game is currently playable from start to finish, but the full version will add many new elements.

I'll summarize the highlights of the last few months.

Story and Quests

One of the most important elements is the addition of more detailed story content and new quests.

Some characters, for example, have been improved


Flick has been reworked a bit

Side Characters like Suiko or Amy will be able to join Sylia in her quest during battles and some events.


Suiko is now joining Sylia during the Kooma Island event

Some quests have been added as well as some dungeons.



The Underworld has new caves and some quests added.

Graphics

Without totally changing the graphics, I'm taking care to add details to the existing maps: elements, lighting effects, animation effects.


God Rays have been reworked

Particles and light zones



Immersive environments have improved, here Barakas Islands

Gameplay

As I said, side characters can now join Sylia during events. This allows a more interesting gameplay for battles and stronger bonds between the characters.


Battle phases are more dynamic with lines from Amy, Suiko or even Aria so far...!

Pentagrams are also added there and there.


Explore the map in a new way to discover new pentagrams

Events triggering quests are also added. As I'm doing a new playthrough, I add events, characters and new missions on an already solid basis.


Vulkain, a new side story character

Better and new H-Scenes

I'm improving sex scenes during battles and events, adding also new ones with Pentagrams, new characters and even new dungeon quests !

Wrestling game has also been greatly improved !

More outfits are now available for wrestling scenes


A whole new cave with events, puzzles and new male character introducing new h-scenes



Playable Aria with battle hot scenes

Balancing battles and Legendary Monsters

I'm adding a large quest with 7 Legendary Monsters to beat during the whole journey.

I'm also balancing skills and fights for challenging battles but fair.


Be sure to be ready when facing a Legendary Monster !

Adding a lot of other things

I'm also improving sound effects, atmosphere, music...

My english has also improved since 2016_2020 so I'm rewriting a lot of lines of dialogs.

Roadmap, actual progress

I worked recently on the Underworld events, adding more depths to the battle of the towers. Lyse, Aria and Diane have greater roles.

The evil monsters are also more epic and dangerous.

I'm now working on the Dragon Pass Event, rewriting some scenes and events with Amy. I'm adding more scenes and changing some.

I also try to make a better use of Saint/ Deviant choices with Pentagrams and actions. It's way more immersive in my opinion.


A new event with Amy, here with the choice of Arrogant/ Saint approaches
Roadmap for the next months :

• Reworking events, graphics, scenes in Dragon Pass
• Reworking events, graphics, scenes in Lerid

In the future :

• Reworking ultimate events in the underworld
• Reworking events in the tower of Illusion
• Reworking ending

• Reworking Princess Mode events, gameplay
• Publishing the game on Steam in 1.0 version
