Since there are three different Fuuma Kotaro now, I have to ask, is there a problem with the RPGX one? For those who don't know
1. Taimanin Battle Arena Fuuma- Overpowered shit bag who hates his family but also is a lot like them. Adult
2. RPGX Fuuma- Is ambivalent towards the Taimanin and his family but wants to pursue some of his clan members that have recently become evil, that were his friends. Has some powers but not nearly as powerful as TBA's Fuuma. Around 18 or 19
3. Action Taimanin Fuuma- No powers hates his dad specifically but very supportive of the Taimanin. Around 18 or 19

I dislike Battle Arena Kotaro because he's an overpowered jerkass, but I dislike RPGx Kotaro because he feels like a Mary Sue overpowered blank slate. He doesn't have many defining features, he's crazy strong, and seemingly every girl who meets him either falls for him or really wants to jump his bones. While Battle Arena Kotaro was unlikable because he was a cancer, RPGx Kotaro was unlikable for me because he felt like just a bland audience insert power fantasy protagonist, which I find boring.


Action Taimanin's version was, in my opinion, bland, but I wasn't a fan of the game in general so I'm probably biased there.

you can change japanese locals from regional setting on your pc. CHANGE the setting into japanese local first then unzip the game again.

it wont work if you unzip it first then changed the regional setting afterward

Game seems to crash whenever I try to upload these saves.

Game seems to work fine with no save game, extracted with winrar in J mode and also ran game in Emulated Admin mode.

May I please ask for help as to what I'm doing wrong?

Yeah, that's because the actual savefiles (data**.bmp) were forgotten to be be uploaded. And as such, when you hover over one in the load menu, you get the error of "shit, can't find the thumbnail for the save to show when mouse hovers over the savefile to load from the list (...AND the actual save file info, for that matter)!"...

It unlocks the gallery, though. So it's rather a gallery unlock, as of now.

Technically; yeah.

But you can just ffwd to the choices with skip (CTRL) - honestly that way isn't gonna take more than a few minutes (and apart from the final two pirate-end related choices (which are given during scenes), you can just not look and will not spoil yourself if you want to make it to the decision points and save there).

By default Crossover creates the cxbottle.conf after you make new bottle. Each application in the bottle will launch with your system's locale, so if you install macOS with Japanese locale there will be no issues.

You are running macOS with different locale, hence why the bottle defaults to your system's locale and you cannot open most Japanese games, because of different character set being used. Prison Academia runs fine, because either the application does not require Japanese character set by default or the author of the English patch tweaked the client somehow to run with English locale, I honestly have no idea.

Anyways, copy the lines below and paste them in the cxbottle.conf file.

"LC_ALL" = "ja_JP.UTF-8"

This is the UTF-8 macOS Japanese locale, whcich can be found in this directory /usr/share/locale/. Now the application will run with Japanese locale.
