Overall if they are using AI to remake the characters which it seems like they are, then I'll be honest I don't see the point in not just doing all original characters instead. At least they are telling a different story and not just copying the original word for word like what happened with that GGGB copy a while back. I saw a few people talking about the irony of complaining about piracy here but it's not the middle-ages and there is actually some honor among thieves. Or at the very least a sense of respect. If the dev at least mentioned Eva and that it's a fan-made spinoff I'd have zero issues with it. Not like AWAM doesn't have a couple of those.

Every AI out there is trained with the works of real people, be it text models like ChatGPT, image models like Stable Diffusion or 3D models like MeshyAI. The moment you use it for commercial purposes it becomes scummy as you benefit from the works of others without compensating them or asking for permission in the first place.
That doesn't make it scummy. I'm pretty sure they've already proven they can reach the same level of Ai art with just free to use pictures and not training it with anything else but that. So the argument that it's stealing is already done there.
IT also doesn't look as good as normal art still. IT's just less effort which is the thing the artists are really whining about even if they don't say it.
This game is taking a known character and making a sidestory with them. It's not a big deal, and the Use of AI here isn't disrespectful towards the original work. Rendering or using AI to achieve the same result doesn't matter.
We have this conversation every time a copycat game comes around and the EvaKiss defenders attack anyone who use tracing like Evakiss does and it's crazy how rabid those people are.

Doing a fan game of an AVN is fine and cool, we've seen it a bunch on here. Doing a fan game, linking it to your patreon, not mentioning that it's at all a fan game that uses the characters and setting of another game on Patreon AND making it AI slop is just hilarious greed.

Now that Cindy knows of her parents open relationship, maybe, Cindy can join them, with either her parents or with the people they bring into their lives. Maybe, Cindy can have fantasies about being with her parents too. (anything to get around Patreon)

Lena slutty friend? She's fucking hot, but her story is kind of empty in ORS, not much to tell, unless that's your point, create some background for her.
Even if we ignore the fact that all AI is "art" based off of the artwork of real people as AI cannot create anything original, this is literal theft of intellectual property. It's not parody, it's not an homage, it's not a spiritual successor... someone fed the work of another patreon artist into an AI image generator and then didn't even have the decency to change the names.

Yeah, I may be a thief but once I find a project that I really love, I try to support the dev(s). I use this place to sort through all the garbage to find the gems, since I am not made of money. So, while I am a pirate, I do go by the pirate code. Don't make me get Keith Richards out here to show all these fools the rules.
