Fantastic stuff here, boys and girls. This is one of those titles where you come for the porn and stay for the plot (and porn). It has the narrative legs to support its story on its own, and not some excuse plot that exists in service to the sexy times. I dare say that even if you take out the pornographic elements, COBD will remain a very engaging neo-noir cyberpunk story. Fuck, it even has LORE and HISTORY. As someone who binged through the Shadowrun titles on Steam, this please me greatly. The milchers alone kind of remind me of the post-awakening metahumans of SR. :geek:

If there's any criticism to be had, it's that there's not much chromed up characters or visible cyberware augments, if any at all.
In this house, we worship fraulein Glory.

P.S. After playing both Broken Dreamers and Depraved Awakening, I know whom to blame for my newfound predilection for horny and troubled teenagers/young adults. :p

Have to agree on that. Having played Cyberpunk 2077 all the body modifications sure help set the tone (the game is good on pc).
I suppose that comes down to a general lack of cybernetic character models on Daz when Philly started creating the game. However i did saw a few cyberpunk looking models recently on the Daz site.

Venus was assembled in China, yet he gave her a better ranking :(
Asian girls are dime a dozen, but it's a fucking robot, how awesome is that ;)
Really i don't know, maybe she just not hot enough to balance out the hair color, hair cut, and that amount of tattoo.
On the other hand there is .
I'm a white guy from a white country, my porn stack contains way more white girl than asian or black, maybe the exposure while growing up tilted me :)

I think that the lack of augments walking the streets can also be explained by the game's lore itself. First Augment program was a US military program for a great war against Japan that ended in 2030/1/1, 12 years before the game's setting. By then Japan had created an actual cyborg - RedMoon - but the country just doesn't exist anymore, same for its corps, so all that work is almost entirely lost (maybe). We can also infere the peace agreements and international organizations could have imposed a ban on that kind of biotechnological research after the war (officially at least) so second and third gen augments like Victoria are not really that common outside megacorps headquarters. We could argue that for that first augment program to work some basic research was still needed and some not-so-advanced implants could have been broadly used for regular people (so we should see at least some 'bionic' people that were augmented between today and 2030), but with SDG spreading and all it's also possible that the greatest advances on that field were kept in secret until the start of the war.

Also, DAZ models availability

It certainly fits the world history not to have people chromed to the gills, but it would be nice to see a few blatant cybernetic components from time to time. The Red Moon obviously takes it to another level, but replacement limbs seem like they'd be well within the capabilities of a world that can give us Katie's medical scanners and mass produce those police bots. It's fine not to have them, but it does feel like a missed opportunity (even if it does come down to DAZ assets).

In other news, I went ahead and updated my tier list.

Maybe we could start seeing some now in the second part of the story here and there. One can hope now that some of those assets are being made thanks to Cyberpunk 2077 release.

As for the game, this week rendering took a back seat to writing, coding and testing. I wanted to focus on that since I was getting behind in that department. This next week I will continue focus there for the first few days till I feel things are in proper shape. It is looking sweet seeing a massive chunk fully in game and working.

And now my brain is fried so I will leave it there lol.

As always guys, stay awesome!

Is it just my impression or are Sasha's breasts a little bigger on that render preview than I remember?

Oh no, DPC's number-free update disease is spreading! :(

Hopefully this indicates we're getting close to the finish line, but there's not much point in speculating about the schedule until we get new info. The only other thing to mull over is the preview... of Sasha. Fine, beggars can't be choosers.

She has the same outfit as in the Dev Diary #94 preview, so presumably this is the same scene. The staircase doesn't seem to fit with the safehouse she was last seen in, though; I'm not sure how Sasha got wherever it is, but it seems like we're going to need some story time to explain how this fits in with the rest of the chapter. I sincerely hope this means Sasha is finally going to contribute something to story. It feels like the game has been bending over backwards to keep her (admittedly pretty) face on screen despite having almost nothing interesting to do with her.

What you mean with "Sasha going to contribute something to story"? Are you sure that you are paying attention to the plot of the game? Sasha is already contributing with the story. On her role, she is a representative person of the "low life" people on the game, who the government forget about and who the corps don't give a shit about.

The fact, even admitted by Philly himself, is that she was going to be just a one-off character but her looks granted her a more important role... which wasn't entirely planned in advance. And frankly, it's showing.

Edit.- Until now, her only crucial moment was her taking Gloria to the Pit, something that could have been done by any other Bolter, and the rest is just a bunch of lewdy pics and questionable choices from our ghosts to protect her.

We love games and porn RPGs, don't we? Why is it STUPID_KINTSO like ???
Well, women, nothing like that, but this is not a game! And the movie!
That would be porn / rpg with beautiful women, that's another matter!

Hell it would even make more sense for Abby to help bring Gloria to the pit to heal considering her connections to the place and the people inside.
Frankly her presence in the story so far is my major grip with the game. Maybe it will change in the future but right now it is annoying to see her being shoehorned into the narrative for no other reason than being eye candy.

Did you forget that she is fighting to help her brother... also, to help her Bolter people? Well, at least for me, this is a noble cause and a very important role. But, of course, I cannot deny that the spotlights are all toward to Katie, Ellen, Victoria, Chandra and Gloria, because they are the main girls of the game. That is it!
