Thats the other thing I did do with the walkthrough I did overview maps of all areas, they include all the NPC's of interest in their original locations (to trigger a quest or a CG scene with stat rewards) I did it pretty much live, in game. SO the people and monsters you see as you play you will also see in the maps. I want to put on F95 in the thread I am not sure I can load them up from my hard drive. Been awhile since I have been on forums, they used to be much simpler to use.

I'll try to see if I can the link the maps on here.
Any straight shota? I was hoping for a scene when I was doing the babysitting job.

There is 3 month now whitouth a new version...
No he has gone through all the items he wanted to implement in the next release. The thing is is hung up on right now is RPGMaker MV released a new version of their game making software and they changed somethings up so now he has to wait for them to create another plugin in order to get Claire's Quest running smooth again.

He also has another game Overgrown (Zombie genre). From now on he is suppose to do alternate months for both games to have updates. I believe this month Claire, next Overgrown, CLaire, Overgrown ect....

These games are a hobby for him he also works a full time job, so he has to deal with that aw well...

The walkthrough is going soooo much smoother with a new method/technique I learned. I've been working on since 3 am EST and still working. I missed somethings back at Fort Amberly, differences in stat settings, which leads to a few extra different dialog interactions.

I wont have to play out the game, with this method and I can get all scenarios including what stats you'll need.
Seduction, Defiance, Depravity, Intrigue. I can write out everything, from what is available to you if a stat is to low, compared to if a stat is meet, to trigger a quest, or if a stat is higher then needed (this sometimes leads to more dialog interactions or replies being opened up).

I also will not need to go back and check out old posts on the dev Patreon page to see if I missed out on a stat needing to be set to a certain threshold.

I think there maybe? When I played it out, I didn't see anything or notice anything for possible CG's but @LongoMcFap posted week 78 of the devs weekly posts and theres something about Claire and the Boys "Romance" ?

Well, I'm quite interested in this game and I followed him even during the dark time of no-artist, but being 3 months late on the schedule and no release information is not a good sign. I understand the problem with the update of MV fucking up things, but why he was so late anyway?

There are informations, three days ago on march 16th, a new teaser picture and a poll. His weekly poll on march 11th. I don't understand the hysteria. And it seems you don't understand the problem with the update, otherwise you wouldn't ask in the same sentence why he is so late. Because of problems with RPGMaker, same as the delay with Coceter Chronicles.

You didn't get my point. I was asking why he was so late even before the MV trouble, which happened 2 weeks ago, if i got it right from his blog post. I'm not freaking out or else, but for example he hasn't post his weekly blog yet. That's the kind of information I was talking.

As far as I know he is doing well, he has hired on some extra people, including a 2nd artist (however he doesn't seem thrilled with the 2nd artists).

Sincerely i wish he didn't bother much with this, it's not easy to find artists who are able to draw in a similar way. :)

I'd agree but his original artist suffered some type of bad leg injury last July and has struggled, had set backs in healing up. So he isn't devoting much time to his art, the other artist was suppose to be an assistant assigned certain duties to help out.

I think the dev is debating on keeping the additional artist and the artwork ends up the way it ends up, between the two artists or try to find someone else, even just dumping the idea of any other artists.

Welcome to another weekly blog!

Technically, this blog was due last week, but oh well, I'll make up for it with two blog posts this week.

First things first - the uber update for Claire's Quest (0.13 + 0.14) is now finally complete. Several issues for the delay - one is MV unexpectedly choking up all our plugins, the second is just general bedlam on my personal front. All artwork is now ready!

For now, 0.13 is being uploaded with full gameplay/questline content for select testers, but with only the following x4 CG in place:

CQ 0.13
* Sally x Claire's Romance
* Stable #3
* Meat Pit #2
* Baker's Boy x Claire's Romance

As thanks for bearing the long wait, and because it didn't seem fair to me to make public/non-pledged players wait for 2 months, once the testers confirm 0.13 is mostly playable, it will be publicly available ASAP.

Following that, patrons will get early access for the 0.14 version of Claire's Quest, with x4 more new CG compared to the public release. As follows:
CQ 0.14
* Meat Pit #3
* Fairfelt Manor #2
* Ranger #1 (Boar)
* Ghost Encounter

This seems like the fairest way of distributing to me!

After that, it will be time for O:G, which will tentatively be out in early April, because apart from gameplay, the new chapter in O:G means new graphics, music, enemies, etc., are all required.

On other news - the polls were dominated yet again by the Monsters & Beasts (263), Hard Sex (188), and Prostitution (164) kinks.

As such, there's expanded plans for all three of them in the future. However, given their repeated dominance, suffice to say the next set of polls on this matter will exclude them, just because I know that's what most of you like anyway, and I kind of want some new kink ideas.

Which brings me to the top 4, 5, and 6 kinks: Vanilla (116), Voyeurism/Exhibitionism (111), and Bondage/BDSM (96). I'd love to explore more of these in the future, and it seems the patrons agree, so I'll start planning out some related questlines!

Anyway, stay tuned for more news! I expect the testers to take a day or two with 0.13 at best. Once the major bugs (if any) are rooted out, public will show up.

I would suspect this is what was suppose to happen if they caught you? However they will not bother you if you go into the woods before talking to the Rangers. Afterword they come after you, but I had my stats to high to get the bad endings dialog, instead Claire just kills them.

If you didn't know already - since we have two back-to-back updates for Claire's Quest, we will be releasing 0.13 to the public immediately, while 0.14 gets patron priority.

The primary difference between the two is that 0.14 has x4 more new CGs, and slightly more gameplay.

Special thanks to Alariza and Looners for their combined work in bugtesting/quality assurance, as well as walkthrough work.

NEW ADDITIONS:
  • Baker's Boy has been rewritten to include a scene, which comes with accompanying CG set.
  • CG set has been added to the Meat Pit's pillory / Meat Pit 2.
  • The option to romance Sally has been added, including a scene that comes with the accompanying CG set. Several requirements must be fulfilled to successfully romance her, so saving is recommended. A successful romance will result in being able to use Sally's place as a free rest stop..
  • CG set has been added to the final stable scene for Rathpike.
  • A new Thieves mission has been added, which takes you to Valos for a change for scenery. This mission involves a rescue, and has no scenes at the moment.
  • A new Ranger mission has been added. Comes with one scene with multiple variants - took us awhile. No CG in 0.13, but included in 0.14 for patrons.
  • Ranger essential NPCs have been reworked. You now have the stoic tracker, Dorian and the talkative inventor, Roxanne, as your best buddies, yay! Roxanne in particular is now the one who makes the animal outfits for... reasons.
  • Sprites reworked for Manticore and Boar.
  • Added small random roaming animal NPCs like crabs for added atmosphere.
  • Herb-gathering has been reworked. Specifically, you now need a special Herb Pouch to gather herbs and sell them. You can only grab one herb at a time to prevent money abuse. Gypsy in Rathpike will buy Tigerlilies after her associated quest is complete, and new Mudstained Ranger will buy Bramble Roses for you after the ranger initiation is complete. Both are sold for 50 silvers each time you gather them. The Herb Pouches are given by both NPCs during their related questlines; you cannot take two Herb Pouches, if you already have one, they won't give you another.
  • New option added to the Cheat menu - full restoration.

FIXES:
  • Known major bug - the new MV overhaul has screwed over the plugins we use. While I've made them workable still, many will not be working or looking as originally intended, like the items system. We will have to wait for MV to resolve this over time.
  • Mercenaries no longer ambush Claire for infinity and beyond. Some dialogue addressed
  • Stable bug that factored in Defiance instead of Depravity removed.
  • Seduction instead of Intrigue factored in for eavesdropping on Thieves in Rathpike West removed.
  • Repetition line in Pigboss encounter removed.
  • "Ogre" was being used interchangeably with "Pigboss"; all instances of "Ogre" should now be removed.
  • Missing switch let you abuse checkpoint guards for infinite Defiance gain. Removed.
  • Dogs of War and History of the Known World titles and contents were swapped; switcheroo corrected. Damn librarians swapping book covers.

  • Old BGM recurring after the mine escape has been addressed.
  • Pathing issues in Rockbeast Lair and several other places, like the Temple of Fertility's stairs (which allowed you to walk past the event trigger), hopefully corrected. I struggle with pathing on tilesets...
  • Typo in Bloody Note corrected (ineligible -> illegible)
  • Infinite Depravity gain from Peeping Tom removed.
  • Wording used for "Apples" and "Fruits" was interchangeable and somewhat confusing especially for Vanessa Vane and Grateful Youth quests; addressed for everything to be "Fruits".
  • Grateful Youth states he is around Hookton, causing some people to miss the scene; corrected to state he will wait outside the Checkpoint
  • Major design flaw corrected - you can bypass the entire Mercenary Questline if you buy escort services into Narfu rather than go through the Sally pre-quest. Escort disabled until Sally is encountered.
  • Renamed Leather Chestpiece to Leather Guard.
  • Invisible bucket occupies space in Hookton Village after Bakerwoman is talked to by the well
  • Intrigue requirement not checking in warehouse with sandbags fixed
  • Infinite Fat Jack house indication during Thieves questline fixed
  • Knife is not deducted after stabbing Mean Refugee
  • Missing fadein if Clingy Plutocrat is left by himself in the bar
  • Esther adds +1 wildflower rather than deducting
  • Several missing tiles (cutoff tops) addressed
  • Sisters do not disappear from pondside Valos after Lily leaves
  • Patrolling pirate missing his options in Narfu backroom during Thieves questline
  • Lockpick not consumed in some instances of lockpicking addressed, such as stablehouse and Thieves questlines
  • Claire can be referred to as a virgin in dialogue in some instances where it is possible not to be, such as in pirate attack post-Prologue; addressed.
