These guys and gals do this as a hobby,
I wouldn't call a hobby anything which brings in around EUR 10K a month. This is EUR 116,592.00 a year, almost twice the average annual household income in USA, or more than three times the average personal income in the Netherlands. I'd call it a job, and well-paid to boot. But what do I know?

Claire's Quest was revamped into what you see...
What we see is an ageing lewd game which isn't even pretending to try to move the story forward into this or another conclusion. A fandom sponsored and driven porn soap-opera, if you will. Almost eight years of development is at least six years too long for a project of this magni minitude. To put things into perspective again, this is way more than the average career length of a real life porn star. BoJack the Horseman had only six seasons, and boy was that show rich in events, characters - male, female, animal - and their story arcs! And what do we have here? The devs have now realised that the prologue needs to be rewritten, with more juvenile bestiality in the shape of pigmen to be added...

I agree with you completely, they aren't trying to finish any storyline at all and keep adding a new one. I give this game 10 more years until it is finished at this rate lol. This game is setting itself up to fail. I am not paying a dime until the game's done.

If you want to blame someone, blame patreon becuase it's patreon who enables and causes this "milking". As for the juvenile bestiality in the shape of pigmen I consider those ultra ugly bastards and i've actually wanted to save the mom since the very beginning... I just really don't know how that's going to work.

But again, blame patreon becuase it's literally there fault for not putting checks in place for "milking". Patreon IS a hobbyists site by design... maybe just don't pay? I could have sworn I read on here that this was close to comming out on steam so it can't be that much longer?

Okay, tried enough times to call it a quit...

Inside the Destroyed Inn in Rivermont, once Claire goes in, to the right, the path is blocked by a pigman patroling in a single line. Is there a way to pass through him? When it started chasing Claire, that path is still sealed off because of him.

(Right here on the right...)

Also, I need help on finding the ingredients for the Pretend-to-be-Chef Pigman. Garlic and etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thats the same story for every WEG on patreon. Become overly ambitious, keep updates that add few scenes every few months and hope it keeps going till you actually manage to finish the game in 5 or so years.
Or they follow COC2 route where they release an update every other week giving you the illusion of development while only adding 1 or 3 scenes.

It has become too tiresome and at some point those that pay these games will realise this (i hope).

Does anybody know where the rope is to get down the well? I assume its in the Inn but there is absolutely no way I can get past the pigmen there is simply not enough space.

I think it's a bug in the update.

In 23.1 if those objects could be taken

This is like blaming a bartender for someone's alcoholism. At the end of the day, it is the game developer's decision if they want to deliver a finished product and move to another project or if they want to prolong their work like an edging professional domme, making their clients pay, but never making them cum.

Also, limitations in creativity and erotic imagination on the part of devs are to blame. Come to think of it, majority of lewd games here are all alike, exploring the same well-tried tropes and fantasies, most of them not based on real-life experiences whatsoever, quickly running out of steam and ideas. So the devs start to explicitly ask their supporters what new stuff they would like to see implemented and in result, the project becomes a fanfic or commissioned work with too many cooks patrons. Which is fine, as long as the general direction is maintained. But when there is no strong personality at the helm these projects lose their rhythm and become cacophony of unfinished subplots or series of non sequitur scenes. 'Claire's Quest' is one of the finest examples of that, with Degrees of Lewdity breathing down its neck.

I don't disagree with your comment. Some devs despite the funding they receive really don't take it serious. And some devs have a team of people responsible for different aspects, sprites, coding, and so on. So it shouldn't be taking as long to provide consistent updates.

After what you've said, for that kind of money they should be making scenes with animation!

No clip. Will make it easy. "RPGM_MV_Cheat_Menu" That is best Easy peasy way I can think of.

EDIT >>> Also handy if wind up in ocean after leaving a building. Or stuck in some way by accident in game.

Been liking Rivermont so far. Any idea where the chicken is? I've gotten the other two
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
In Lucas' House? I forgot...
I got the garlic after Stella got stabbed...

TBH, Rivermont part seems alright atm. But attention to details: if there is no cheats, no walkthrough, no knowledge on the attributes requirement, there is no way I will be able to get into the castle and save Claire's mom (reaching the end of the new part).

I know that is like a playtest atm for us to submit bug reports and such...I just hope there are some adjustments so that a BLIND player will still be able to finish a main quest without specific stats. If the stats needed are compulsory, I guess there will be many players stuck at certain point.

Anyway GL to those folks arguing whether the developer is milking money.
Seriously, they have one game finished. And that game is rather linear with few sidelines. This game? It feels like a massively long story. BTW, to people who don't know how hard it is to create actual RPG, try imagine yourself creating an entire world of your own with all the details of every little things you can imagine. You want an immersive RPG with great graphics, plenty of fetishes and a nearly open-world setting? THAT TAKES TIME to perfect every details and organize the plot+branches...

An hour long of DnD campagin from zero can take up 4 hours to sort out the basics, settings, characters, plot, etc.; then it takes another 2-3 hours to playtest everything...

You are playing for hours...
The developing team might have to work for months just to get everything right for an hour of gameplay...

Just be a little more patient.
