I copy the whole old save directory over the newer save directory. After that visit the guy in the galery room to update. To get the newer save directory i start a new game and make a save. That way there is a save directory.
Do you know which file is the save directory? I've been searching the folder but I don't see an rpg save.

"www" , "save" folder, it's because every developer choose different location for save, some people put it where game.exe located, others put it in appdata for some reason

Anyone else have a problem with the Wayside Inn for the fertility questline. I saw people were having problems leaving. but my problem is just activating the quest, I see Lily in the room, but Claire says to go to the innkeeper first. But he only has his standard 2 options (food and sleep)

Had the same issue, this is a known bug, fixed in the enxt version.
Here is the link to a hotfix (which I just used myself):

I restarted the game after a looooong break and I am pretty uncertain.
What is the "better" choice for the prologue?

The Castle is shorter and seems to give you less to start with, but you can keep the

sane.
But the easier start seems to just *be* more. And when you meet the baker again she recognizes you, even if you do the other one, making the refugee camp seem like the "canon" route.

Bottom line, what way would you all advice?

Im dissapointed the south path is so much worse from a gameplay perspective.
I made 2 runs maximizing possible gains (yes, i minmax even in smutty rpgs, sue me) and found that north path enables you to:

1)learn lockpicking earlier,
2)get the animal farm license
3)get infinite gold from inn, as you can loiter in town forever
4)establish history with returning characters such as beth and charlotte
5)recieve just over double the possible stat gains. (+10 vs +21)

Objectively speaking, in gameplay terms the harder route traditionally yields a better reward for completion. Risk vs reward and all that.
The south path is narratively superior and clearly more story-involved, so it baffles me that its made the decidedly worse choice, where both difficulty *and* rewards are concerned.
Its obvious that it is the more recent addition of the two, as it clearly hasnt been playtested enough.
Can someone tell me if this is still the case as of the latest update?

4) is actually only half-true. If you go South, Charlotte will be in the abbey (Leon ran there searching for his father).
I actually somewhat prefer this version over the"house helper" route.

Beth is northern exclusive, but also missable there. And iirc you can free and meet her in Rathpike if you missed her before.
Marie, who I *think* is the missing fiance of the half-drowned guy from the northern route, is exclusive to the southern route.
I personally also think that the appearance of the mother and lord guy (sorry, I am terrible with names) makes more sense if you go that route.

Basically, you get more content (which is not fully implemented tbh) if you go south, but it is harder. Not harder in the sense that the actual prologue is harder, but in the sense that you start with less after the prologue. And you will start in Velos and have no option to go to Rathpike instead.

Just to clairfy, are you saying that if you don't do the northern route and miss Beth, then you can still meet her in Rathpike?

also where in Rathpike do you meet Beth?

Yeah, Marie was confirmed to be the fiance that went missing after a Pigboss attack (who then advanced to Rivermont).

Not sure if it unlocks through a questline or if it's something overheard during one, but long story short there's some people smuggling going on (the women from Fort Amberly) and the town to the west of Rathpike has a house where these women are kept awaiting transport to the slave market. Claire can break in and free them, and Beth will be among the freed prisoners.
